Personally, I think it easily looks better than REmake, and with realtime 3D backgrounds.

Those are the best damn graphics I have ever seen on PS2. If thats what it looks like while you are playing, then.... DAMN!!!!! That would make SH way more scarier than it already is!

Hot diggidy dern!

It does look quite good... The models look pretty much Re1 remake quality, IMO... Although their ears seem a bit more polygonal...

But those textures are really good... which is really no surprise, since Sh2 had some really good indoor textures... I wonder if they're spruced up the outside areas much :D

But anyways... can't wait...

Only worry I have:

I hear that the game doesn't even start out in Silent Hill...

But it's gotta end up there somehow, someway, right?

that's some of the best graphics i've seen period, not just for PS2.

I wonder how good games can look on the GC and Xbox, though when it gets to that point, i don't think i really care.

yeah, i heard something like that too. apparently the main girl (wutever her name is) starts out in some regular place going shopping, and when she takes the subway home she encouters weird crap and i think she ends up in Silent Hill. it was something like that....but anyway, awesome graphics!! lets see if they can make a monster freakier than the pryamid heads.

Mehopes they can... Although the Pyramid Heads were like the only things slightly creepy in SH2... except maybe those enemies in the first area that looked like some kind of creature trapped in a sack of flesh... when you knocked them down and they crawled around on the ground really fast... that was quite strange :D

But when I first saw the pyramid head at the end of the hallway in Sh2 I just kinda stopped and was like "Eehhh... what da feck is that? Dis don't looks good"

...

I've said this before, but overall SH1 had better enemies... all the enemies in Sh2 were just crazy deformed things that were all shiney... SH1 had so much more variety... little school children demons, baby demons, flying... things... Dog-like things... uhh... weird... ape-ish... things... that made funny noises... and let's not forget those weird green things in the sewers!.... O.o

The enemies in SH3 seem a bit more of the style of SH1... Only with giant weird things for hands and feet :unsure:

It's obviously not CG... CG is better than that...

I remember before Sh2 came out some people saw the screenshots and were like "That's nice, now can we see some REAL-TIME screenshots"

That's the only one I think looks ALMOST like it could be CG... but I'm pretty sure it's not... His clothes don't look quite good'n'smooth enough...

DH...I know what you mean, but SH3 is really unbelievable...there's nothing that looks that realistic on any other system IMO...Silent Hill 2 looked great, but this new one looks STELLAR...

Some would argue RE1 looks better...

But of course that game used the pre-rendered backgrounds... :sneaky:

Really I guess the characters in Sh3 DO look better than the RE remake ones... and the lighting in SH on PS2 is always hella-good :p

And the game's not even out yet... I wonder what it will look like when it's finished and in motion :D :D :D

Those graphics look really nice. Anyway, I always knew I was buying it no matter what. It's SH. :D I just hope This one doesn't leave so many things unexplaind. I think I have whined about that a lot. I'll stop now. :D
