NO!!!!!!! For the love of god, dont let the new online game be pokemon...nintendo is smarter than that...they do know that the little 5 or 10 year old kids that play that wont have a clue how to hook their gamecube up to an online source right!????
RIGHT!!!!!!!????????

Nm it is fake... :(
A larger version was posted at XenGen and you can clearly see the legal print at the bottom is all out of whack.

"all characters names are trademarks of". There are no characters on the poster... The hoaxer must've copied the info from somewhere else.

Dream? Out of all of nintendo's franchises, pokemon is the absolute last that I would like to see go online.
Mario Kart online on the other hand...:burger:

Actually, if I'm not mistaken wouldn't they have to put that on the poster anyhow since it deals with PokeMon. All of the characters (yes even the PokeBalls) is trademark of Nintendo. I could be wrong not big on this legal crap.

Have you honestly played a Pokemon game? I don't think I've met one person who's seriously played it and thought it was a game for the kiddies only. The cartoon might be directed at kids, but the games are great. A Pokemon RPG would be welcome.
However, I'm pretty sure this is a fake. In a Dutch interview with Shiggy he said that the online game they're developing alongside PSO isn't an RPG (right?).

Its not a bad idea really. Its a great way to get a lot of people online, and I wouldnt mind seeing Pokemon as an Online RPG.

I played Pokemon Red... It wasn't really kiddy, but I didn't find it very good, either :-o
But yeah...

Some flawed details:
It says NOA, but this would be TGS (i.e. tokyo) So really, this should be japanese.
The phone jack looks 2D.
Its too early for a rating.

I doubt that was to be the modem connection anyways GameKinG so...
If you ask me, I think it looks like a bowling ball a Pokémon fanatic designed or someone at Nintendo.

TheGame is great... The game is great too..... but it is also directed at kids. I don't think he's tryint to say the game is kiddy, but the fact that a lot more kiddies own the game than Adults and Teens.
Online wouldn't be so fun if you are playing with a bunch of 10-12 years olds would it?
Plus, anyway, from my experience at Pokemon, I doubt serverly that an online game would be possible. Not that it can't be done, but it wouldn't make much sense, I will make a thread about it if you want me to go into full detail.

Yea, exactly what I was thinking. Yes I have played the pokemon games, and they can be fun for everyone(although I didnt really like them that much), they are geared towards kids, you try to argue that your a fool. And most of the kids I know who play pokemon could absolutely care less if its online or not. Hell, some hardly know what online is.

Most every country with a computer knows the internet. But Online GAMES I agree just have not taken another huge step (the first beeing Dreamcast). I have little faith XBox Live and PS Online will make a huge effect on sales or anything...
