Vehicles:

About 120 different kinds of vehicles will make it into GTA:VC, which is 140% more than GTA3 (which had 50 for those who struggle in math)

http://ps2media.ign.com/ps2/image/gtavc_091202_6.jpg some variety

Weapons:

The weapon set is divided into classes, with hand weapons in one, automatics in another, etc., etc. In all, the cache of weapons totals about 30 (up 15 from last year's healthy 15), and includes all sorts of items, such as an Uzi, a Ruger, an M60, a machete, possibly a chainsaw, as well as shotguns, automatic machineguns, rocket launchers, sniper rifles, hand knives, baseball bats, and more.

Weapons... Cars... Nice :D

They also say there's a much better lil' system of waterways and such, and more boats... which should be good... I hope there's like "Boat traffic" so you're not the only one out on the water

I also can't wait to fly that plane that can land on the water that PSM says is supposed to be in ze game... Oh and the helicopter of course... yep yep...

Must save up money to buy game...

I just went to Gamestop Vice city has already broken the history books its sold 5 million some copies in the U.S and the games not even out yet. All the stores said they wont have any or only 5-10 copies on the shelfs cause they are almost all sold out in preorders. Even the players Guide is nearly sold out.Anyone who wants the game the first 2 weeks better reserve it cause if u don`t its most likely u wont be gettin it

what makes this game so good anyway? i've played GTA3 and well i didnt find it that great. Sure, there's tons of killing and stealing cars and swearing and prostitues...but i just didnt find it that great. I dont know, maybe i didnt experience it enough, and maybe gta:vc will be better. but seriously though, dont bash me, tell me wut draws you to gta.

I just find it really fun...

Wether I'm staying in one place and going on a massive killing spree... getting to a certain wanted level and running from the cops... flying the dodo... Driving people around in taxis, putting out fires in the firetruck, chasing peoples in the cop cars... or just doing anything... drive by shootings, anything (even just driving around doing nothing sometimes)... I just find it really fun (^_^

I also like going to certain places and sniping at gang members...

It was just sooo crazy fun to play for hours and hours on end for a long while after I got it, and now because it's not like an RPG where you gotta get to a save point, it's fun to pull out, go on a crazy rampage or something, then stop... or still fun to play for hours... so yeah...

good point DH, that is a cool aspect of the game, the ability to do just wutever you want whenever and however. but i kinda found it to be tedious, like there was no real motive except for going out and doing wutever you want, and by all means that's not a bad thing, its just i like a game where you have a reason to play, an ambition to move on and discover new things, i like a good storyline. i'm a rpg man, but i still love games like SMS and the like, i dont know wut it is with gta, i try to like it but in the end i sorta just say meh and move on. ah well, gta:vc looks cool, i'll deffinitely give it a good try

Well GTA3 is supposed to have a better story...

The main character speaks, and there will be like 90 minutes of cutscenes (compared to GTA3's like... 30 I think)...

And with a city at least twice as big as Liberty City, and with indoor areas, I'm sure there will be plenty of new things to discover ;)

Heck, there were a couple small little areas in GTA3 that I didn't discover until owning it for like 3 months... and while it wasn't anything big, when you own a game for 3 months and find a new area of any kind, it sorta surprises you and you're all like "D00D WHOA MAN D00D!"...

Yep...

Umm... are you sure you have played this game?

The missions AND the story in GTA3 kill SMS any day. Plus, you get to make up your own missions. You can have intents to do any ol BS. And you can turn it into a multi player game... for example, me and my friends had a Cop killing competition.

This game has a strong story line if you chose to follow it, and that choice is what makes it great. Oh yeah, and the fact that it's extremely realistic. :)

I agree that the storyline is pretty good, the only thing is like they don't y'know... go into enough detail... sometimes when you're doing the missions, it doesn't even seem like you're working towards getting the revenge on those people, it just seems like you're doing missions...

I think it might have been better if you would have had like one main gang/boss guy... like say if you stayed in the Mafia... But instead they had you jumping all over the place, which was still fun and stuff, but I think the storyline could have been much better if they would have stuck with one main gang you do stuff for... You could do stuff for others, but the story progresses through the one gang...

But I dunno...

But yeah the storyline is pretty good, it's just like the game doesn't follow too closely to it, so you really gotta be into it yourself to follow it... And for some people I guess that's hard :p

But now with a main character and speaks, and 3 times the amount of cutscenes, hopefully the story will be much more closely followed... still being able to go out on crazy rampages, but when you actually go in for a mission, it actually feels like the storyline is progressing, rather than just getting another mission...

They're also trying to make the missions longer, more complex, etc... Which should be good... :D

I wish he could have just stayed in the Mafia... I was acctually pissed at Maria when I heard she screwd me out of the Mob.

when I was riding that boat I wanted to go to the back and shoot them both...

I'm pretty sure you can do that... I remember being curious if I could or not, so I shot one of them once with a handgun and they started shooting at me, so I took control of the boat again and they stopped :p

But you could probably kill them if you shoot them more of with a more powerful weapon... you'd just fail the mission ;)

I don't understand that mission in the first place. I just went with my gut and followed the pager.

I killed both of those hoes. I failed the mission, though.

Did any of you ever not listen to the pager?

I did and Maria was correct. It was a set-up. When I got to the place where I was supposed to get the car or whatever, there was an ambush.

Well I noticed the pager the first time... my brother didn't, cuz he doesn't pay much attention...

But then in a later game I deliberately didn't listen to see what would happen...

Normally I just blow up the car from a distance... TRYING TO SET ME UP, TAKE THAT, DUMBASSES!!!!!!
