View Full Version : Getting a Gamecube!!!
My Dad went on a business trip to New Jersey a few days ago, and I asked him if he would buy me a Gamecube. Since my lessons are very (very) important this year, he never wanted me to get a new system (he was even going to put my computer and other consoles away). But, after a few days of pleading, he said he would buy a GCN.
He called about an hour ago, and said that he had bought one. So now, all I have to do is wait for friday (all I have to do? - I can't even sleep at night :)) then I will be playing with it. Yay!

congratulations, you may now bask in the almightiness that is GCN, and you can laugh at people who dont have one!

Thanks! :p
Ok, ok, I didn't need to post this. It's just that I needed to share my feelings with some people who know what a Gamecube is (unlike almost all of my friends).

You are no longer a part of the mass but rather above it. Congratulations. :)

Not games :(. I couldn't find the courage in myself to ask my Dad for more than 1 game, so I asked for Super Monkey Ball 2.

Hehe, well you'll be alright with that. Nice game, enough to do. But I think you're gonna miss Mario... :( Perhaps you could order something??
I don't think getting any other games will make a difference. The only thing I know is that after playing the GCN for a month, all the time-wasting electronic appliances in the house will be put away, so I study my lessons extra-hard (don't get me wrong - I'm a successful student, but I just need to study twice as hard this year).
And since I won't be playing anything, there's no need to buy another game.
BTW, this includes my PC. I won't be coming here (or anywhere else) until mid-June 2003 starting 4-5 days from now, probably :(.

Just do your best at school, that's what matters. What if you'd show your parents that you can do your best and also play a bit of computer games?? Perhaps they won't hide the computers from you...
I don't think that will happen. This is very important. I'm taking an exam next year to be able to go to university, and unfortunately, about 1.5 million other people will take it with me (only 400K get the chance to go). That's why my lessons are very important.
I'll leave home for school at 8 AM, come home at 9 PM, then study until about 12 AM. Then it's a new day. Exciting, eh?
