I was at a game party trip thing up in Michigan this past weekend and a friend of mine there and I sort of traded blows. I showed him my modded Xbox and Murakumo and he showed me his modded GameCube the Shine Get Mario and Animal Leader. He liked Murakumo a lot, as does everybody that has seen it, but he won out..... because of a game were you eat cardboard block animals and poop and have sex murders with cardboard block animals.

MY GOD. This game is totally indescrible. All I can say its the best ****ing game I've played in ages. Its like some sort of cubist surreal Zen exercise. Once I started I just didn't STOP. MY GOD. AGAIN MY GOD.

You know, I played a bit of SMS and liked it (s'okay) and I played Beach Spikers and loved that. But MAN.... of all the games to sell me on a Cube: ANIMAL LEADER/CUBIVORE!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!? Amaziling.....

Just beacuse it looks crappy doesn't mean it's a bad game.

i not saying that it looks crappy based off a graphical design, its just the game looks so blah and plain and the gameplay looks dumb. if this game wants my money its gonna have to make some big time super awesome impressions on me or i shall say good day to Cubivore.

Yeah the graphics are bizarre, but their consistent enough that one can dub them "stylized" everything in it is cube or has an edge. The sun and moon are both blocks with Sun and Moon-looking bitmaps on each side. Ditto the clouds. The whole environment of the game is established to sort of challenge you. And really, once you get into it and start playing it you'll see that this is about the best way to go with the blocky graphics and odd ball premise. It just, quite simply, "works." Amazingly well I might add.

Also don't walk in and rent it and expect it to be Mario, or Pokemon, or whatever the hell else 12-16 year olds expect a game to be on a Nintendo system (....wrestling would be my other guess). Its all purposeful and amazingly deep..... it serves almost more as a Zen meditative exercise than a straightforward sim about mauling block animals. Plus the the poop button is Z. And we all know how Nintendo demographic players like poop and poop-related humor. I want to see Nintendo put out more crazy **** like this. And less platformers with hot blue fox girl manimals (no offense to Star Fox Adventures :D). Now only if Doshin the Giant makes it here.....
