YEA!!! They settled the baseball strike, so the game goes on! They finally came to their senses and realised that if they striked they would basically Kill the game. Cardinals @ Cubs at 2:20 PM CT today is the first game that would've been cancelled if they had striked. Enjoy the baseball love.

Hmm... This really went down to the last second... I think it was all a publicity stunt. Because people were showing up in big numbers to games because it was like the last week, if the strike happened. And now, people are going to be like "Oh, we have to support the game, and cheer out team so this doesn't happen again".

I... 3rd that... :hmm:

Really though, it seems like everytime there's some major thing in the news about a possible strike it's like "OMG WILL THEY STRIKE WILL THEY STRIKE!?" and then it gets down to the last minute and they DON'T...

I want a strike, damnit

Actually, this is like the first time MLB has actually avoided a strike. You guys just have no respect for baseball.

All I know is that the strike in 1994 or 1995 absolutely killed baseball for Toronto after our back to back World Series titles in '92 and '93. It's been in the sh|tter ever since, but things look to be turning around with some young talent (Roy Halladay, Eric Hinske, Josh Phelps, Orlando Hudson) and I just know that a strike now would be the final kick in the nackers to baseball in Canada for sure.

So I'm optimistic.

^^^Did I just say that?
