This guy .. my dads friend comes over and sais his friend builds computers.. and hel build one for me for free :)...
ITs not top of the line or anything.. but its nice for free :)

this is what i know bout my comp so far

1.8 Ghz Pentium 4
64 meg card (not sure what kind) the guy i was talking to.. he didnt know anything about computers... but he was on the phone with someone.. but i couldnt talk to them.... but he said something like outrun.. and i was like what the hell is that.. ... then he said geforce 2 and i was like.. i didnt know there were 64 meg Geforce 2's

ASus mobo.. 533 mhz Fsb... someone said that asus mobos dont go good with pentium processors? does that make a really big difference?
and 512 meg DDR ram.. is that fine with a pentium processor and an asus mobo?

sooooo....... ummmmmmm...... what do you guys think of her? :D

EDIT: also.. an 80 gig hardrive....
a 16x dvd drive

For the type of Rig I'm seeing Mushlafa, your Video Card is a tragedy, everthing else loks pretty good, but a GeForce2 is an antique these das, sadly my dad might only be able to use a GeForce2 on our old P2 300MhZ Gateway to "replace" the current VooDo3, since the machien si so old and can't handle a GeForce4 and he won't buy a new one (II have the bes PC in my house, but then agian, I use it the most as well).

Lucky bastard. Your new computer will have 9 times as much megaherts, 40 times more room on hard drive, and 8 times more memory.

I could always upgrade the video card and right now.... this new comp will have 4.5 times as much mhz .... it will have 14 times more room on the HD.... like 3 times as much ram... and also 16 times as much video memory ..... its too bad it isnt a geforce 4 ti 4200 :(

Well you could just use the money you save on your free computer to buy one GF4 ti4600 graphics card ;).

Oh, and I always thought that RD RAM would go better with P4's than DDR RAM.

RD is faster but it costs more $$$ and the performance difference between RD and DDR isn't that big. . .

Well, when I got my P4, I could only get RDRAm unless I got an AMD Athlon and I ahd problems with the AMD chips in the past (old games didn't play), so I ogt the P4 with RDRAM. It's not to much faster than DDR RAM, you only need RDRAM if you're the kind of person who's a speed demon and also likes SCSI HDD's instead of ATAPI/IDE (I prefer IDE HDD's), so it's a mater of Ca$h more than choice now.
