Well with all the concern of Nintendo's future I think some fears can be put to rest with these new rankings coming from The Magic-box.com (http://www.the-magicbox.com/gaming.htm) . Here's their rankings and what they had to say:

Here are the list of best performing game publishers in Japan during the first half of 2002, based on the number of game titles in the Top 100 games in the first half of the year.

1. Nintendo (16)
2. Konami (14)
3. Sega (7)
4. Bandai (6)
5. Enix (6)
6. Sony Computer Entertainment (6)

That's a point, then again, to get into the top 100 you have to sell units. So in a way, they had 16 top sellers in Japan, and Konami 14 and etc...

If we had numbers for each of the games sales, then we could count up how many games in total each publisher has sold.
