It's coming.

Get ready.

Cause 30 million people out there wanna whoop your ass.

Over 30 million, actually. That's the number of PS2's sold around the world. And I'm sure many of them will be going online with their sleek black console this fall.

What you get for your hard-earned $40 when purchasing the network adapter:

Network Adapter: Fits into the 'expansion bay' in the back of your PS2. Included a phone jack for dial-up users and an ethernet port for those with DSL or Cable.
Start-up Disc: Includes a Help video to walk you through the Network Adapter installation. Playable Demos which include Madden NFL 2003 and Frequency Online, and lots of videos of upcoming online games.
Mail In Coupon for Twisted Metal Black: Online....oooh, yeah!

What else do you need?

a Playstation 2 (I hope you all knew that already)
a PS2 Memory Card with at least 137KB of free space to store your configurations and settings
a Nickel (to tighten the screws that attach the adapter to your PS2...then again, you could always use a screw driver :p)
a Phone Line or Broadband connection (I assume you all have one if you're reading this)

yes, i'll be beaten in all games but NHL 2003. i'm always pretty decent at EA's NHL games.

i can't wait for this. but i have a question. my computer is right outside of my room. there is a little space at the end of the hallway where i keep the computer. it is connected to broadband and i was wondering how i would connect it to my PS2 (about 20 feet away)?

Ummm.... Maybe, maybe not.

And Sykkie, you have to buy a router and some ethernet cables... The hook the router to your little internet box thing, then connect the ethernet cables to your PS2!

I don't know if that will help you... It might be a bit vague....

;)

1. NHl 2030 isnt online

2. Ask gekko. :p Well you'll need a router..and you'll need to split your ethernet wire. (I think, I dunno...Im doin mine a much simpler way cuz my PC is in my room)

if you dont have a network hub. or a network/router combo box. you just need to pick one up. (preferable one with WAN or uplink) put the incomeing broadband into the WAN/uplink, and then theres 4 other ports (usually) just plug PC into one of them PS2 into another. in your case get a long network wire to do cuz its down the hall :P

Anddd

1. NHl 2030 isnt online

im pretty sure NHL 2030 will be online :D

But for NHL 2003 which im sure you meant. its just not online for PS2. PC it is.

lol..

yanno. it just boggles the mind to think about what NHL 2030 will be like.

think they'd be advanced enough to the point where it would be VR, like with VR glass's so it looks REAL. and makes it feel like your on the ice playing with them.

Ahhhhh that would be sweet.

Sad thing is id be 50 years old :( dont think i'll be playin games at that age.

But maybe at around 2010 they make a way to reverse ageing. :D
