View Full Version : Xbox On Japanese Top 10

News out of Japan for Xbox isn't usually good, the daily sales charts are usually nothing to write home about on the Xbox front, but today seems to have taken a turn, perhaps a turn for the better. In todays daily software sales charts for Japan, both From Softwares Murakumo and Crazy Taxi 3 were able to grab spots on the top 10 by taking the 3rd and 7th spots respectively. Of course, while Murakumo wasnt able to touch Jojos Bizarre Adventure 5 for PlayStation 2, the top title, it was able to surpass Super Mario Sunshine, a game that took home 4th place. While these games arent likely to stay on the charts long, its certainly a breath of fresh air for those that have had to read up on nothing but negative Japanese Xbox news.


Sorry I couldn't find a more independent source for this, reason being is that they probably translated it from Japanese to English. But I'll look around...

Able to surpass Mario, considering it's a newer game, and this is a daily sales chart.

At least now XBox fanboys can go around saying XBox beat Mario!, XBox beat Mario!(complete with annoying child sounding replays of that):D

If I was Mario fan, I'd be a little more worried that I'm getting my ass whooped by a character named Jojo.

Why? It's a daily sales chart. Mario have already sold over 400,000 copies. 400,000 copies is a hell of a lot if you compare it to home many Gamecube systems are actually sold. My point is a lot of Gamecube owners already have Mario.

Why would anyone be concearned that JoJo is beating Mario, after Mario's been out for a week? You only buy a game once, and a lot of people bought Mario the first weekend.

Well, I dont think it actually outsold mario. I mean, it was reported that mario sold out in the first 2 hours, or 4 days or whatever. Second shipment would normaly come out a week later which is the same day as the sales chart, but not the sale date of mario. How much can you sell with no - few games left?

It's a daily sales chart. It outsold Mario on that particular day, which happens to be after Mario is a week old. It's not overall sales, or even weekly sales.

Ladies and gentleman, I repeat ladies and genetleman, Super Mario Sunshine has been defeated by some game named Jojo and an Xbox game on the Japanese Daily Charts. Even though opening with the first or second best opening weekend sales for Japanese videogames and outselling the Xbox system itself, Super Mario Sunshine has been dethroned. Can we all cry now?

Lol guys...Bond didn't post for the purpose to say that Mario got beat......he just posted it too let you know that atleast Xboxisn't doing that bad in Japan...if it can reach 3rd and 7th place on a daily sales chart. *sigh*


I don't even know why I posted that..people will pobadly just ignore this post and go on talking about Mario and Jojo. :D

I agree. I mean, there is hardly any news that is about Xbox and that is positive coming out of Japan. So I see one positive Xbox Japanese article, which I thought would be nice for a change. Except people just bash it, coming up with every single possible reason why it's not good news or whatever they wish to call it.
