WINDOWS ME SUX ANUS!!!!!!!!

sorry people, but i just had to post this...this is probably the most unstable windows ever, it crashes on me like everytime i use it, inother words, i never shut down the comp properly.

i got Me because i needed it for my job, the software wouldn't work on XP

i can't stand this!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

i look at a web page, even while browsing the forums, it crashes...

i'm playing CS, like 5-10 minutes into the game, it crashes!

ARGH!

anyone know how i might be able to fix it?

please???

i really need this

If it wasnt working in XP, then did you try the compatibility mode? That usually solves anything that won't work with XP. I've only ahd to use it twice. And it worked fine both times after I applied Compatibility Mode for Windows **

Simple problem: switch.

Switch to a Mac.

... other solution: take a baseball bat to your PC.

why would he want to spend a couple grand on a Mac when this is for work? work is to make money. not spend on it.
and what makes you think the software would even run on a mac?

get the mac for a personal computer.

for this problem either downgrade to 98. or try and get some MS help. i've never had a problem running anything under xp. programs i install come up and say it doesnt pass the compatibilty test... but i install anyway an dit works fine.

I thought everyone knew winME was the worst windows ever.??? in downgraded like 10min after getting winME wen it first came out. I'd prefer to use win 3.1 over that ****.

ouch...3.1...thats harsh

anyhoo...last time i had ME (before i got XP) it ran almost perfectly, it would crash here and there, but not this much:unsure:

and for some reason the program that doesn't run on XP on my comp, runs perfectly on my friend's comp and he also has XP.

i'm thinking of getting either 98 or Win 2000

so yeah...

I was about to say the same thing. I thought Shooter's comment was a snide answer that probably wouldn't help with compatibility anyway.

Though he'll probably come back by saying he was playing around or kidding or whatever, but oh well. :p

you acutally go thro the updates and find ones you might need? or only download the ones it said to.

cuz often theres extra updates that not everyone would need so they dont put as a must download.

i download all of them, the ones i need and the ones that aren't very important...so every update that comes out, i eventually download...

i could always reformat my comp, repartition it, then double boot it...

that way, i'll have XP for everything, and ME for my job:)

i just need to know if someone ever did that, and if it worked well...
