Hmm...it seems customary or something to post a thread when you are going on an interesting vacation, so I guess I'll do that. Anyway, my band and I go to Nashville, Tennesee for a couple of weeks to record a couple new songs for our CD and to finally play a couple of rock shows down there. The first one is more of a warm-up show, but our second show is a possible showcase for record companies. So, for example there might be a guy from Warner Bros. at our show to see if we can put on a rockin show. There also may be a couple other representitives from lesser known record companies to do the same thing. Plus Nashville is just a fun time when you get to hang out with your best friends/bandmates with no parental supervision for a fortnight. So, I guess just wish us luck as we venture further into this hell that they call the record industry and maybe I'll come back in August and tell ya about it. The Spinto Band is up! Peace.

Sadly, in the 3 trips we've had to Nashville we haven't been able to see one tourist attraction because basically we are in the studio from 11 in the morning till 11 or 12 at night, so it doesn't give us much free time.

Oy, back for an update. Well, no record execs. ever did show up for our showcase, but we did get to meet Tony Ferguson of Interscope who signed No Doubt and I guess he likes us, so that's cool. We play a show in Philly later this month which he will hopefully attend and maybe a dude from Warner Bros. But, we recorded a few tracks and made some good progress, so it was a great trip.
P.S: If anybody here is a Wilco fan, we got to go to their free show and hang out with them a little bit which was kinda sweet, anyway...

Welcome Back! Hopefully the deal comes through. Be great for someone "from" GT to go big time. Then forget about us
