ATI is fighting back! Read the article, or at least some of it. The Radeon 9700 is kicking butt! Expensive though:(

Just from reading that little Intro. It sounds like this will be the one to own!(At least for now;):D) I dont want to take time to read every little thing they said, so I'll just leave my comments to that.

I dont wanna kill my dads wallet ;) :D
but.. umm.. i still want an AMD XP 2200+ and i want an ASUS motherboard... i think  and i still want the 512 ddr ram.. its just that i want that vid card :D

But i kinda dont wanna buy it.... ever few months a new one comes along.. thats twice as good as the one that was the best like 2 months ago.. so in like 2 years.. everything in my comp will be garbage.

Well, until ATI get their act together and start making decent drivers, I'm steering clear of thier stuff... ATI have always made the best 3D hardware, but nVidia's drivers have always been so much better that you get better performance on the same specced card.

Having a kick-arse GFX card means nothing when you can't get it to work properly...

ATI is coming out with a new card to compete, and supposedly it does very well, against nvidia. The radeon 9700 is supposed to be better than the GF 4600. The price range will be somewhere betwenn 200 and 300 I think. It doesn't come out till the end of July methinks.

That is just a one page article so maybe some of your attention spans could manage that:p

Is it a double post even if its been a couple days?

I believe the price is $399, though I'd have to double-check to be sure, which I'm not willing to do now. :p
