Check out the main page here (http://www.apple.com/macosx/)

And here's the new chat program I'll be using in the near future.

I heard on The Screensavers yesterday on TechTV that they are gonna charge I think $130:eek: just to upgrade to 10.2! That new chat program will annoy the hell out of me. I dont want a pic of the person Im chatting with to appear after/before everything he/she types. But if I had a Mac, I would do like Leo said, I'd rather wait for a pirated version:D

There would only be a picture of your friend if you put one in. You can put any picture you want in to represent your friend, it doesn't have to be there actual face. Yeah, I was kinda hoping that people who have 10.1 would get some kind of upgrade deal for half price or something but so far, no luck

Who knows though. I mean, they've adapted the iPod to PC. Smart financial move on Job's part if you ask me. That oughta bring my stocks up! ;)

I think the upgrade fee is a little steep.

I mean, $130 for going from x.1 to x.2? Either they're ripping people off, or someone got the version numbers very very wrong.

That box with the face is nice... at first. But after awhile it would get very annoying, even gekko agrees. And the update price is quite steep, $129. Also considering it's an update to OS X, it should be half that.

Not really. This is a MAJOR upgrade to Mac OS X. There are over 100 changes to it. So I can see the fee.

iChat has some nice features about it. If I was 40, I would love it. But for chatting on AIM, I question how well the boxes work when you got long messages and crap. I'll give it a shot, it looks halfway decent, but it might get annoying.

iCal ownz! Sorry, but the calander is just sweet. And it can sync with my iPod and Palm? Word!

iSync is the best thing I've ever seen. Hell, I don't know if I'll even use Palm Desktop anymore. Gonna sync my calendar from iCal, my contacts from my address book. Plus it can sync to multiple devices. Hot damn!

iPod for PC. Well, it's better than anything that PC users have, but it's nothing near iPod for Mac. You lose all the sweet stuff you can do with iTunes. You lose the ability to sync your contacts from the address book, and sync your calendar from iCal. On Mac your iPod can be your life. On PC, it's just your ordinary MP3 player.

The upgrade to Mac OS X 10.0 was $130. But back then it was slow, and I didn't even use it until 10.1. And you guys make it seem like this is just an ordinary upgrade, it's not. For those of you PC users, Apple updates the OS a lot. We've went from 10.0 to 10.1.5 all free. I believe there were around 10 updates to the OS, all for free. Now Apple had added sweet new programs, done a ton to the kernal, made it faster and everything. It's worth the $130, and if you bought a Mac recently, you should have OS upgrade coupons.

MS updates from Windows 98 to Me and what do you get? Another ****ty OS? Mac OS X updates are worth every penny.

And just so you all know, Apple is now the #1 supplier of Unix. Bigger than Sun, and Linux :D

Hey gekko, what are your thoughts on Inkwell? Think another Newton looms in our future? :D

I'm not sure, it would make sense. I hope so :)
