Well, now that the season is half over, anyone have any predictions on the rest of the season? I predict the world series to be a Cardinals-Boston(oh dear god I hope) and the Cardinals win. Thats me. What about the rest of you?

Expo's should win it all, but they won't. Why? Because it will be a repeat of 1976. Expo's have the best team, and then there was a lock out. There will be no world series this year. Sorry, boys.

The Phillie suck as usual (no surprise there)...I just hope we can get something out of a trade for Rolen if we do in fact trade him. Too bad his numbers kinda suck this year, and those numbers basically determine his value, but meh....Pat Burell is finally looking on track at least.

the yankees or red sox are a virtual lock to win it this year. both teams are stacked with offense. my only knock on the sox is their pitching staff. martinez, burkett, lowe...uh...yes?
weaver has got to stop relying on his fastball and throw some offspeed stuff.
the cardinals are an ok choice for the NL but if you're so blind that you overlook the best team in baseball (the braves - statistically), then you're a homer.

Boston-Cards? The WS will be Yanks-Braves, with the Braves winning in 6. I'm not judging just by the records, but it's just both the Yanks and Braves have great pitching and offense. IMO I don't think Boston is making the playoffs, because the wildcard is going to the Angels or Mariners (whoever doesn't win the AL West)...

Lets hope, for my sake, your wrog uncle no name. I might do something crazy if it is the Yankees and Braves in the world seires...but It wont be, by the time playoff's come, the cardinals will hopefully be back to almost full strength pitching wise (with stephenson and Williams back) and they will eat up the Braves in the playoff's, just like 2 years ago...Muahahahaha!!

The Braves just ate them up over the weekend. I could see that Sheffield homer coming before he stepped into the batter's box...

Yankees are in. Period.
As for the NL, I'd have to say the Braves. The Diamondbacks are a close second...

Sorry, Jason, but you just got Scott Rolen...nothing good can come of that. He'll be bitching pretty soon about something or other to the point where you can't stand him, then you'll trade him! It'll cause such a distraction to ruin the whole tean's chemistry, wait that was the Phillies...well, just hope it doesn't happen to the Cards.

Cards vs Angles is my WS pick as of right now.
..............Fuc|<in cubs make it another crappy summer for me.
If you look at the cubs roster you'd think they'd run away with the central division but no, their bullpen had to suck. Then alou and McGriff had to sleep for the first 3 months of the season.
look at the starting 5
Wood
Clement
Prior
Zambrano/cruz
Lieber
I'd bet those 6 pitchers have more no decisions than any other 6 in baseball and they left the game leading almost all of those games.

yea, the cubs have some good starting pitching, too bad their bulpen is AWFUL, and Liber is injured. Although I dont have much room to talk, the cardinals are 1-6 since the Scott Rolen deal. Im begining to wonder...
