View Full Version : Multiple Link Theory (yes, I'm bringing it up again)

The Link in Oot is suppose to be younger than the Link in GC (pretty sure). Yet the GC story according to Miyamoto happens before that. How exactly does that work? Not to mention Link's hair color has changed a few times over the years. I believe in the multiple Link theory yet Miyamoto never comfirmed it. But the Link story says the princess is always to be named Zelda and the Hero of Time always to be named Link so that works well in the theory.
Your thoughts?

Its hard to make sense of the whole time line. But I think when link went forward in time, and then at the end had to go back, it was like a dream or something he wont remember. So now hes back where he started at the same age.
I wish they would made a game that explained that. It would be cool. I guess. BTW, can anybody post the chronololical (sp) order of the series?

Yeah right. Everything is a dream or he had to go back in time. There is your timeline. Well, for me anyway. They just stopped continuing the story, and bounced back to the beggining.

Well, I am Link, and I am not the Link that appears in the video games... Therefore, there is more than one Link.

I don' think that the Zelda timeline is really supposed to make sense. I think it's just supposed to be taken with a grain of salt.

I agree with Mariolover.......I think he just makes the game and doesn't care much about carring on the storyline

Hmmm.... Don't you think it's cooler when you're always playing the same Link that encounters the same Zelda?? Because I would, it's just good to think that Link is one hero and there is only one princess and that's Zelda (and Peach of course). I don't like the multiple Links and Zeldas theory, it simply doesn't feel right.
So I'd rather have a story that doesn't make much sense, than a story with multiple L's & Z's.
They will never be able to fix the story now. I mean the 7 Sages were Men in ALttP, how can their offspring be Zora, Goron, Kokiri and Hylian?? You can't explain that, not even with the theory.
And Nemesis:
OoT
MM
ALttP
TLoZ
Zelda 2
The gameboy versions come in between OoT and Zelda 2.
