Well... I was just chilling with my good friend Shane on my front porch the other night, and we got talking. Talking about anything on our minds. It was a really good talk. We were just hanging out, sitting on two old crappy chairs, and drinking coke (both Vanilla Coke, and Coca Cola Classic, if you wish to know). So, I just wanted to make a post about what we talked about, and it involves a wide variety of issues, so it should appeal to most of you guys here.

Death

Imaginary Life

Shane and I were talking. What if, when you die, you do not actually think that you are dead. What if you are a ghost, who goes on with your everyday things? However, instead of actually communicating with people, it is just all in your imagination. You still believe you are living, so you see things and people the exact same way you did while you were still alive. So, it is all in your head. You think that you are hanging out with your friends, or watching a movie with your girlfriend, but in actuality, you are lying in a coffin, as stiff is a rod. So, what if you are actually dead right now, as we speak? But it is just your imagination that is keeping your alive. But then again, if you were dead, then you could not be reading this message, because it is all in your head, and your head is buried six feet deep.

The only thing, however, that I do not believe that this happens is that there would be too much detail for your brain to process. I mean, all of the bugs, the flies, the people, the faces. I do not think that an imagination can process all of these things all at once (and for years and years to come). Also, what happens when you die in your "imaginary world"? Is it then that you go to heaven? Or do you not think that you die in your imaginary world also, and you just keep on keeping on? Too many holes in this theory or explanation (whatever you wish to call it).

Heaven and Hell

As a Christian, I believe that everybody on Earth goes to heaven. What happens in heaven, you might ask? Well, I think that heaven is a unique place, where each person who is there experiences it differently. I think that heaven is a place where everybody is still in their physical (human) form. And everybody is just chilling up there, telling stories about your time to people from the past, and vice versa. I also think that in heaven, we get to test everything out before they are created on Earth. "Nintendo Super Dupa Square Like Box 5000", oh yeah. I am allready playing it in heaven.

And then, for those people who think otherwise, it will be their otherwise. For people who believe that they can only see peoples' spirits, then so be it. For those who think that there are endless rows of tennis courts, then so be it. I do not think that people will be unhappy in heaven and beacuse of that, people will interperit (sp?) heaven differently, the way that they want to see it.

As for hell, I do believe that there is a hell. However, I believe in the New Testament of the Christian Bible. God says that he forgives all people who ask for forgiveness. Because of this, I do not see many people living in hell, except for Satan himself.

The Universe

Aliens

I really do not believe that we are alone in this massive universe of ours. Considering that when you look up at the stars at night, there is almost a star every centrimeter in the sky. This means that there are millions, or possibly even billions of stars out there possibly having the same amount of planets orbiting their sun as we do. That is billions of planets that we are talking about. I think it is ridiculous that out of all of those planets, we here on Earth are the only "intelligent" life forms in the universe.

However, if there are aliens living in different solar systems, when will we finally get the chance to meet them? When and where will the first official contact take place? I think that we still have a ways to go until this day. Also, do you guys think that other intelliegent life forms have allready made contact with eachother? Being in other solar systems and other planets? I think that there might be a solar system that has 100 planets, and each planet has communication with eathother. I cannot wait for this to happen here on Earth. I think it will take multicultralism to a whole new step (and create biggots in the process).

Space Travel

Travelling at light speed to visit other planets and different, unique creatures. Damn, that sounds crazy, and so far away! Well, even if it does take another couple hundred years, I do think that it is possible. Hell, it might not even take this long. But just think about it for a second. If Earth starts to creat things like the space ship in Star Trek, where it holds thousands of people, on route to the next star closest to ours, they will land on a planet in that solar system, and be greeted by those who left after them. I really do think that this can happen. This is because technology advances so fast, so if one of these ships leaves in the year 2100, it is probably expected to reach the next set of planets in 75 years. But, in the year 2110, newer technology is used to send a ship the the same destination, but it will only take them 50 years (which means that they will arrive 10 years before the people who left before them). I find this quite funny, and it basically makes large star ships inpractical.

Well, that is all I can think about right now. I might post again on more stuff, if I remember some more about what Shane and I were talking about. So, feel free to post your thoughts on anything I said, or on different issues as well. Just clear you mind!

Death

Imaginary Life

Hmm... I dunno.. i just dont beleive in things like this  doesnt your brain stop working a while after you die.. so.. how could this happen.. if your brain isnt working? It loses its electric something or other.. i dont know..

Heaven and Hell

Im one of those people who doesnt beleive in like religion and stuff.. athiest?? So.. i dont beleive in heaven or hell.. i kinda feel bad for myself

The Universe

Aliens

Yep.. i beleive in Aliens.. it just doesnt seem right that we would be the only planet with life in the universe.. i was watching some thing and they were saying there are probably more stars in the universe than there are grains of sand on earth.. just try to comprehend the size of the universe and with these billions.. i dunno.. trillions of stars out there and a lot of them have planets orbiting around them.. i wont beleive that oinly one of those planets has inteligent life.. ugh.. i forgot what i was gonna say.. stupid MSN. Yeah.. whatever.. they were saying that in our galaxy alone, which has about 50 billion stars alone, there are something like 500 planets with inteligent life.. some long ass calculation.

Space Travel

The faster you go, the heaver you get, the heavier you are the more energy required to go faster.. so you couldnt travel at the speed of light.. you could travel really close to the speed of light but you couldnt actually do it and with the size of the universe traveling at the speed of light wouldnt get is very far in the universe.. humans have had radio waves traveling out into the universe for 50 years now moving at the speed of light.. and they havent eaven gone 1/10 of the way through our galaxy.. so when it does get to a planet with inteligent life.. and they know what radio technology is.. they could be listening to like music that weve been playing for a while.. anyway.. if we really want to travel far in the universe we need to find a faster way of going from place to place than a straight line... We need to learn how to control nuclear fusion in an inclosed enviorment.. we need to learn how to do it.. just like we do it with nuclear fission.. but so far the only places we know this takes place is in the core of stars like our sun... the reason we cant get this to work is because it only happens at VERY high temperatures.. humans have done it in some magnetic something or other for about 1/1000th of a second... anyway once we figure out how to do this.. we need to figure out how to release it in some way and make a "hole" in space" and we can travel through this hole..

oh man.. thats long, has no paragraphs and prolly doesnt make much sense  anyway im not done...

Ok get a peice of paper... draw a line on it from left to right .. not all the way across but do that .. thats the only way we know hot to travel for now.. a straight line.. but bend the paper in in half ( the hotdog way ) and put a whole in it going from point A to point B .. thats what we need to learn how to do.. but do it with space using nuclear fusion ..

I watch WAY to much discover channel and TLC at 4 am :D i just watch it to fall asleep

Yeah. TLC rocks. Anywho, scientists are very close to discovering how to do the whole nuclear fission stuff. The only problem is, is building the ship that will be able to withstand the vast amount of pressure from the speed which they are travelling at. All I know is that it is going to take plenty of astro-engineers to create the proper ships for high speed space travel.

Fission we can do.. its fusion we cant do.. Fission is what happens in nuclear reactors to give them the power.. or whatever.. to turn the turbine.... Fusion is what happens in the core of the sun with hydrogen and some other gas... and thats what gives the sun its energy

Can a moderator please move this topic into the General Forum, please? It is barely getting any reads or posts in here. Or should I just make a new topic in the general forum? Thanks.

I wonder where you guys got that whole Idea of you being dead but not knowing it *cough*

I actually do think that there is life elsewhere in the universe. I also believe there is something at Area 51, that the government dosent want us to know about. Or maybe elsewhere. In any case, I think there is something that the government knows that we dont. Nuff said.

The truth is out there....

I know... old and clichéd...

I've read a bunch of books with that being the case. I find it interesting... So I just thought I would type it here.
