Golden Sun, Mario Advance 2, Wario Land 4, Advance Wars, Mario Kart Advance, Sonic Advance, Ecks Vs. Sever...
There are more, if you don't like those, I could list more for you.

Mario Kart is a sweet game. It lasted me very good for 8 hours ina car. Never got bored of it either. And since you got Doom, obviously you like the shooters. So try Ecks vs Sever.. And um... there are a bunch of new ones that are coming out in the fall I beleive.

Like Dark Arena, Duke Nukem, Wolfenstein, and The Recruit.
Metroid Fusion and A Link to the Past should get you hooked too once they come out.
First of all, see if you can trade that THPS3 away.:p That game gets so old because of the frustrating camera angle. But I guess if you like the game, keep it. Also, make sure to get Advance Wars. It'll last at least 100 hours if you like strategy games. With occasional breaks I could play that game for hours and not get bored of it. There are so many modes and once you complete all of them, you can design your own maps, and battle friends. Usually it's pretty hard to find someone that knows how to play though.

I'm thinking about Duke Nukem when it comes out here in Europe.
