Is there such a thing as an unhackable website? According to the administration of Russian President Vladimir Putin, there is.

The Russian government has deemed Putin's new website (http://www.president.kremlin.ru/) , which features everything from his speeches to pictures of the former KGB chief and his family walking their dogs, hacker-proof. According to a Kremlin spokesman, some 500,000 people have visited the site and 96 hackers have tried to corrupt it. All have failed.

Or have they? Perhaps you slipped in and out of Putin's new site, briefly posting a picture of my face on the homepage before anybody noticed. If you can prove that you did hack the site, we'll send you a "Screen Savers" T-shirt. We will not bail you out if you end up in a Siberian gulag, and a shirt probably won't keep you very warm there. Chances are, a large, vodka-scented man named Dmitri will steal the shirt from you to use as toilet paper.

Basically, they are saying the new website is "unhackable" and I guess a challenge is out to try and hack the site. Can you?

Somehow I have a hardtime believing this.

Let's go drag Coolio's (the hacker) ass out of jail and see if he can hack this. I mean, Dunadan.. you're talking so high of this like you could hack this. They didn't say who tried to hack it -- it could have been 96 PROFESSIONALS or 96 WANNABES. You never know.

Nope, nothing is unhackable. You can be well protected yes, but you can't be unhackable without pulling out that piece of wire connecting it to the internet and then locking the box in a cave wired with photosenitive thermite grenades.

Nice to see it's running Linux (http://uptime.netcraft.com/up/graph/?mode_u=off&mode_w=on&site=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.president.kremlin.ru%2F&submit=Examine) though... :)

P.S. what Russian for 0wn3D? I'd like to be able to keep my eyes out for that one...

True, nothing is "unhackable"

But this is pretty good. If you get far enough, it turns everything into unreadable giberish. Everything turns into random charectors, and commands change what they "command".

I bow down to anybody who gets in here.

After reading the write-ups this site has got, I don't think I've ever met anyone 733t enough to crack this baby. Hats off to the hackers who made it, and double hats off to anyone who manages to 0wn Putin.

Anything can be hacked, it's jst hat only wanabes or amateues have tried because they're too lazyto hack other sites (like M$), the 133t h@3k0rz can pull this off, but those people have other sites to destropy (like anything petaining to M$ or propoganda for other enemies of Civilization), I'd like to see what Gekko has to say, because nothing is "unhackable" unless it isn't connected to the net and the box itself is 20 feet underground in a nuclear bunker.

no the buggiest deamon on earth would be MSN running M$ outlook, at least AOHell has *SOME* security, M$ has none.

The buggiest daemon in the world is already an M$ OS running M$ programs.

Go fsck yourself Microsoft, you're never getting any of my custom again.
