5 movies coming out you want to see...

i didn't like any of the other topics so i made my own:D

k, the topic is the top 5 movies you want to see. i like that, i'm a movie buff. aight, here are mine.....

1. Road to Perdition-tom hanks is in a role unfamiliar to him so he had to really challenge himself; that should be fun to watch. it also has paul newman in it which is his first movie for a long while. it is directed by sam mendes, director of american beauty which i thought was sweet. its kind of a mafia type story i think too. definately an oscar contender.

2. Windtalkers-i've been looking forward to this movie for a longgg while. it was supposed to come out last year but got delayed. looks very cool.

3. k-19 the widowmaker-a harrison ford and liam neeson movie about a russian submarine.

4. The Signs-i like the director, m. night shayamalayan(sp?).

5. Red Dragon-the last installment of the hannibal lector series which is ironic because this movie is based on the first book of the hannibal series. this book was already made a movie(i forget the name:unsure: ) but they are redoing it and changing the story around so anthony hopkins can be in it(in the book he is much younger and it didn't focus on hannibal much). also has edward norton in it.

6(i couldn't do just 5:)).the next mission impossible-i just heard about this. its going to be very different. tom cruise is still in it but its directed by the guy who directed seven, fight club, and the game.

7(the last one, i promise). minority report-i like spielberg and am interested by the story. looks sweet.

1. Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (and if you count that far ahead, the third one... I dunno what it's called though :D )

4. Signs (Isn't it just called "Signs" and not "The Signs"? :confused: )

5. Umm... LIKE MIKE!... not..... I can't think of a 5th, so I'll just start listing a lot of other movies I wanna see...

And Silent Hill... even though it's a videogame movie and we havn't even seen images of the set or details or anything except that it's supposed to be closely based on the first one (a very good thing)... probably has the biggest potential of any of the videogames picked up as movies so far, IMO... Since the Metal Gear thing proved false :D

I don't really like movies that much coz they are too predictible, and if they aren't too predictible then most of the time they are just completely warped. Or just really............really stupid. Very hard to find a movie that I like, probably coz it's just me or something.

But if we read, we'd know what all these movies are all about. I mean, in the last year we easily could've read Star Wars, Black Hawk Down, We Were Soldeirs, Lord of the Rings, Windtalkers, the Sum of all Fears, etc., but then we would already know what the movie is about.

I hadn't heard about it either until like a couple weeks ago... But it's the next movie by the guy who did The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable, methinks... right? Starring Mel Gibson I think...

It's some kind of weird movie having to do with crop circles and such... Will this one have a surprise ending too, I wonder?

I can assure you: the book is better than the movies. So you'll enjoy the story better if you read it instead of watching it. :p

But a movie is a lot easier of course... :unsure:

i've read lotr and i assure you, reading those will only enhance the movies for you. there is so much in the book left out and so much detail that couldn't be shown at the movies! i read blackhawk down too and once again, they left out tons. the book gives you the story from both sides, detail about families, friends, and more. i wanted to read we were soldiers once...and young but didn't have time:( anyway.....what i'm saying is that reading the book won't ruin things for you, it will make them better and you'll be happy you read the book and know more stuff about the story than the avg moviegoer:D

the signs is what dh said. its supposed to be pretty good and i doubt there will be a suprise ending cause his last movie got a lot of criticism for that.
