The Super Mario Bros. Movie

Literally my only complaint is Chris Pratt as Mario. I would prefer Charles Martinet be given the opportunity to voice the character. I think the regular Mario voice would be just fine if given a chance. But even if they insisted on recasting and being a little less extra on the voice, I still think Chris Pratt ain't the right choice. I think the rest of the cast so far sounds great, but I'm just really not buying normal dude Mario.

But, like I said, that's my only complaint. It looks like a lot of fun and authentic Mario. I don't expect much in the way of plot; but I expect it to be fun and this looks fun. Really appreciate the inclusion of Mario Kart and Rainbow Road; means they're embracing all of Mario.

The movie has made a killing at the box office, and I had a ton of fun with it.

I've listened to Peaches way too much in the past month.

Yeah, I ended up liking it well enough. I get the criticisms that critics had, but its a fun theme park kind of movie for Mario fans (which is pretty much everyone).

I still think Martinet could have done fine as Mario in a movie, but with the way they set up the story it makes sense that they would go for more of a "real" voice and of course Chris Pratt is decent at voice roles as well in general.
