Nintendo's about the only thing I can get excited for during these things anymore. Plus maybe Square.
Square's already let me down this year. I'm hopeful for something cool Zelda related from Nintendo, but I'm tempering expectations.
Anything else at best I think "that sounds neat" but I doubt I'd find time to play it/

About two hours away from Nintendo's Direct. The YouTube description says it is focused exclusively on software so that seems pretty clear in order to squash any Switch Pro expectations pre-emptively (unless this is some kind of headfake intended to make the Switch Pro reveal a surprise :eyes: [j/k its not happening]).
My only real hope is for BotW2 and maybe some surprise additional Zelda 35th anniversary stuff.

Nintendo has been the highlight of a pretty boring/borderline embarrassing e3. The Square Enix stuff was horrible. Capcom was pretty underwhelming. I heard Microsoft had a pretty decent show? Didn't watch though.
I'm pumped for Metroid Dread, Warioware, the Advance Wars remake (!!!), and SMT V of course.
It was nice to see some of BOTW 2 but I know we're not getting that till late 2022/early 2023 lol

Sorry, just read this post. I couldn't stop cringing at the Stranger of Paradise trailer. Even the gameplay looked cheap as hell.

Oof, yeah that trailer was terrible.
I was a little disappointed that BotW2 didn't provide an actual title and that its going to be be a 2022 (at best lol) release. Its a little weird as it being called so specifically a sequel to BotW and utilizing BotW's style makes it easy to expect this to be a half step up so the long time in between releases (at least 5.5 years) is odd. The gap in between major games is expected, but they usually introduce brand new mechanics and a unique art style. I'm hoping that BotW2 gets wild to justify it as the Next Big Zelda Game rather than just a "sequel" as its been presented.
I'm also fully expecting it to be a Switch Pro or Switch Successor game (either as well as the Switch or exclusively).
Metroid Dread being a thing is crazy. Honestly that's probably my most hyped thing coming out of this for now.
