Has anyone played 999? I just got done with it because I'm 4 years behind the times. I just don't have the time/interest/money to game as hard as I used to.

Anyway, did anyone think it a bit disingenuous that the opening scene shows an explosion on the side of a ship at sea, but then at the end we learn that they were really at a Nevada test sight the whole time? Cheap, cheap. We shouldn't have even had an outside perspective since none of the characters did either, but that's another point.

And the whole thing with the last door being a "q" instead of a "9" was bogus too. How the hell were they supposed to guess that? Up until that point, they had been very meticulous combing over Zero's exact words to them. Plus, Zero said that the exit carried a "9" which clearly it did not. It carried a "q."

Other than that I thought it was entertaining. Except for the time travel paradox--that still makes no sense to me.

What the hell are you talking about?

Literally. I have no idea what 999 is.

It's like an interactive novel with puzzles. Or a choose your own adventure story. Like Myst or Lost but different.

Isn't it a Wii game that got a perfect score from Famitsu? Or was that a sequel of sorts?

The sequel is a 3DS game called Zero Escape-Virtue's Last Reward
