A new Pokemon adventure is due this weekend.
Curious to see if anyone is going to pick it up, and if so which version X or Y?

Going to be downloading Y on the eshop at midnight.
Probably going to start with the Grass starter, although I have to say, I think the final evolution form of all the starters is really terrible.
I like how you get to choose a starter from the first generation as well. I may just roll with Bulbasaur as my primary grass pokemon instead of the new starter.

So going grass and grass?
I'm forgoing Froakie because I can get Squirtle early in the game... thinking may go fire.

I always pick the grass starter. I can't wait to have another Bulbasaur. :)
I'm considering picking up Froakie just because I am getting Bulbasaur, but it feels wrong not to get the grass type.

That's how I feel with not going with a water-starter, but I know gonna get Squirtle.. they shouldn't have told me! >.<

I'm a few generations behind! I just might start playing Pokémon Diamond.

I would say skip Diamond and play either Black/White ( 1 or 2, doesn't matter) or HeartGold/SoulSilver. Both of those are pretty decent upgrades over Diamond/Pearl. Specifically, Black/White let you use TM's as many times as you want. HeartGold/SoulSilver has an amazing PC management system and you can have a pokemon follow you around on the screen. Not to mention the world is just huge and it has that nostalgia factor.

Well, I mostly play the games to familiarize myself with new Pokémon. That rules out HeartSoul/GoldSilver. And I have Diamond on cartridge, while I'd have to 'find' Black/White. So I'm still leaning towards Diamond.

HeartGold/SoulSilver isn't a direct port - it has pokemon from Diamond/Pearl in it.

They had a deal where the 2nd Nintendo game came for half price. So I bought PKMN X and New Super Luigi U.
I won't start it yet, I want to finish some Zeldas first. :)

I have X. First new new Pokemon for me since Gold and Silver. I did get the remake games, though. Anyway, I dig.

By the way, I'm thinking about trading my X for Y. I found out that X is selling MUCH better than Y. So if I want to trade, my chances will be higher if I picked Y.

Finally got my copy in
Picked chespin because knew would get a Squirtle pretty early in the game.. it still felt so dirty.. and considered resetting my game more than once..
So far really digging it
I really do love how they have lessened the impact of the grind greatly in this game.
-You get EXP for capturing wild Pokemon now too. So no more choice between capture and leveling up
-EXP Share makes a return as an ability you toggle on/off so don't need to worry about training specific Pokemon by having them come out first then switching out.
Really like that they just throw Pokemon at you.. like 3 hours in and I've gotten close to 30 Pokemon. New and old. Electric, fire, water, fairy, bug, flying, etc

Depends on if you are doing it locally or not. There's enough copies of each out there you'll be able to get the exclusive pokemon in each. I wouldn't worry about it.

This thread is bugged, or at least for me. I see BaB and Vampyr replied to it, but when I go here, I don't see their posts.
Edit: That was weird, when I posted myself, I was finally able to go to page 2. Strange. :)
Anyway, one of these days I get to trade X for Y and I can finally start my adventure!
