I'm not sure if we've ever done anything like this.
Nor do I know if many of you actively engage in this.
But figured would be nice to have a thread to discuss Holiday movies we watch throughout the month. Whether it is part of your tradition or you just happen to catch it on TV.
Thus far, Swanny, Combine and I have watched Home Alone 5 (Yes, they made a 3 and a 4) and that.. wasn't good.. not good at all. The kid was never HOME ALONE.. which is the entire premise of the name.
Not to mention the entire cast was annoying as hell!

I think you'll find few who can dispute that!

My favorite Christmas movie is The Santa Clause with Tim Allen. Been watching it since I was a kid, and I actually just watched it again yesterday. It's held up really well over the years - definitely a classic. The sequels aren't as good, but I enjoy them as well.
Second favorite is probably Santa Clause is Coming to Town, which is where my current avatar is from.

I feel Jingle all the way is very understated.

Jingle All The Way
Home Alone/Home Alone 2
Die Hard
Santa Clause
A Christmas Story
Christmas Vacation
GREMLINS
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Bad Santa
A Charlie Brown Christmas
The Muppet Christmas Carol
A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas
and maybe a new tradition with Silver Linings Playbook...which was really fucking good.
It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia - Christmas Special
South Park - Christmas episodes
Seriously though, if I don't watch Die Hard, it isn't Christmas. Die Hard = best Christmas movie. Ever. Period. Gremlins is a close second for me.

The Garfield Christmas special is another good one. I have it downloaded on my computer somewhere.

I watched Christmas Cupid because Netflix' selection of Christmas movies is rather sparse
It's a more love-centric version of A Christmas Carol. It's inoffensive, but also nothing special.

The fact that National Lampoons Christmas Vacation has not yet been mentioned in this thread has made me lose a little faith in humanity. The best Xmas movie ever made, no contest.

It was mentioned.
Christmas Vacation
Also, Vamp, I dont know if this was a thing before but im noticing it now after the update or whatever you did, that a quote from someone is not counted as a reply unless I add at least 1 character to it. So say I want to re-post a quote just by itself, it wont let me.

I'm pretty sure that's always been a thing. Like if I'm quoting an article from a site, I usually add "." to it. I can see if there's a way to turn that off though.
