Thoughts? I'm disappointed that they didn't include the extra slide pad + shoulder buttons.
Also, I want to know what the battery life is... I'd prefer battery life over screen size really.
They should have integrated the second circle pad and (while at it) made it a joystiq. There's more room now to accomodate it. I think the batter life is half an hour more than the regular 3DS. I normally go for the bigger handhelds because I play them at home most of the time. But I've been getting all the play coins I can with the regular one and even taking it with me while I jog, so for the first time I'm not interested in a bigger version of the handheld. It still looks cool though.

Ive been looking at it. I have basically been waiting on an updated version to get a 3DS anyways, and now that there are a few good games I want to play on it I'll probably pick this up around launch.
I'm also disappointed about the 2nd thumb pad, but the screens look really nice!

I will say this, Nintendo isn't making a 2nd circle pad/analog stick a priority on that device ever.
If they didn't design the original 3DS that way, there was no way they were going to design.. the redesign that way.
As for the 3DS XL, its a system that either should have existed first or not at all. I really don't get the purpose other than making a giant unportable handheld device.

How is it unportable? It's about the same size as the Vita.
I personally am not interested in the XL editions of the DSi and 3DS. I'd rather have them make a 3DS with an in-between screen and double battery life. Oh and a second slide pad, but I don't think it's going to happen anymore.
