Could be wrong, but always thought that was a documentary about the competitive video game scene.

Im a little confused, did Disney actually obtain the rights to use Nintendo and Sega characters?

Prior to production, characters were added to the story either in places they would make sense to appear, or as cameos from a list of characters suggested by the film's creative team, without consideration if they would legally be able to use the characters. The company then sought out the copyright holders' permissions to use the characters, as well as working with these companies to assure their characters were being represented authentically. In at least one case, licensing fees for the characters were too high, as they were unable to include Mario and Luigi due to the high fee Nintendo had requested. Additionally, the producers couldn't think of a reason to incorporate Mario into the film unlike Bowser. Overall, there are about 188 individual character models in the movie as a result of these cameo inclusions.

Lately I've gotten very very tired of these types of movies. I thought Finding Nemo was overrated, Up was terribly overrated (except the first 5 minutes), Brave was overrated, Wreck It Ralph was overrated.

The only one that was actually awesome was Tangled. <3

Yeah, Tangled is the same studio that did Reck it Ralph if I'm not mistaken.
