I didn't expect that! The last time I saw the game in action, it looked decent at best. Apparently things have changed a lot since then.
Who's buying it? (I don't have a 3DS.)

I think I'm going to, I've been following it recently.
The sheer number of unique weapons sounds awesome, as well as how they scaled the difficulty.
Basically before each level you bet on how well you think you can do vs certain odds. So the higher your bet the more difficult the level, but the better items you find and the more money you win at the end.
Also, for anyone who is part of club nintendo (in america at least, not sure about the UK version), you can get 3 free Kid Icarus AR cards.
I'm not sure if I'm going to get it right at launch, since I'm just now getting back into OoT 3D, and I want to finish that up first.
I'm actually really excited about the 3DS right now. Going to get Icarus, then this summer Kingdom Hearts is coming out, and I need to play Mario 3D land at some point.
This is clearly just a propaganda piece from the elite liberal video game media. They're promoting antichristian mythologies as opposed to propping up timeless classics such as Bible Adventure for the NES.
Makes me sick.
And 3D? Give me a break. The only other dimension you should be concerned about seeing is the heavenly realm of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

^^^^This!
I has the broke and can't afford it, either. But I know they were putting a lot of effort into the game and, from what I've heard, the multi-player is indeed good. That is very unexpected. It seems this game will redefine Kid Icarus the way DKC redefined Donkey Kong, turning it into something completely different and loveable.
And of course I'm being sarcastic about Neo's statement. Is there some new kind of meme I'm unaware of?

I actually really really like that idea. I think that should be adopted for a lot of games, if not all of them.
Not only does it teach kids about how to determine odds, and betting, but it gives actual incentive to factor risk vs reward.

Don't much care for Famistu reviews...
And honestly wasn't too keen on this game until I saw the Medusa trailer.. and now I need it in my life. :(

This game is getting very mediocre to bad reviews everywhere else. Evidently the controls are not very good.

That was always my fears when first saw the game.
Not so much the on-rails stuff, but heard mixed opinions about the on-foot missions.. and it seems to be something that wasn't fixed..
Still excited for it though

GameInformer and destructoid were the only two I had seen when I made my post yesterday.
I'm not super sure where people are coming from with the "it hurts my hands" aspect of the controls. Just playing the regular 3DS controls hurts my hands, the machine is so small. I can't imagine using a stylus is going to be any worse.
I'm really hoping for a 3DS XL someday soon.

So just bested the game.
And it hurts my hands/doesn't allow me to play for prolong periods of time is my biggest criticism about the game.
Its weird because everyone lambastes the controls. But I think they do a great job for the game, the problem is there's really no GOOD way to hold the device to use them for any period of time. And it sounds strange, but the controls work.. finding an ideal way to use them all the time doesn't.

Didn't the game come with a holder in Japan?
