Planet GameCube has learned that Nintendo will probably not have a Spaceworld Exposition this fall. According to sources Nintendo is realizing more and more how global E3 is, and has decided to pull the event. This has yet to be confirmed by Nintendo.

During our E3 interview with Beth Llewelyn, Director of Public Relations for Nintendo of America, we asked about the status of Spaceworld:

Billy: Speaking of Spaceworld, I've heard lots of rumors that there will be no Spaceworld this year. Is this true?

Beth: No, Nintendo just hasn't confirmed, sort of, the details, so ... nothing has been changed for that, other than nothing is set or scheduled as far as time.

More details when we get them.

IF they did, they would likely blow all away at the TGS.

*ahem* Besides the monkey shooting, does anyone else (besides GameMaster) have an opinion? :D

I think it isn't true...and I HOPE it isn't..If it is..that would blow major ass.

As longas the the stuff they would show normally show at SW at TGS I don't really care.

it would mean that we would have to wait once a year for gc news. i guess that would suck, but he does have a point. Maybe spaceworld isn't as recognised as much as e3. Therefore it'b b in Nintendo's interests to just use e3 to show off their products rather than e3 and spaceworld.

Well that's my opinion :drevil:

No, it's a false rumour. Spaceworld has visitor numbers in the millions, and if that isn't a good marketing space for targeting Japanese consumers, I don't know what is.
