Hey I know this thread is long past dead but I'd like to see what you think of the first sig that I've made. They are both in my sig spot until I decide which one I like better. and dyne is still a god!!! w00t to the dyne

Well, I had two for Pink Floyd, two for The Beatles, two for The Who, two for Led Zeppelin, and two for The Doors, but 4 of them weren't working so I just changed it all to The Beatles. Those are all the UK Albums minus 2 of them, with the Beatles and Beatles for Sale.

I decided to use the sig you made because it seems to be more color coordinated. Also it fixed the weird square boxyness of mine.

its pretty close to photoshop. even the look of it looks like photoshop. so even if your planning on getting photoshop later on. learn gimp and it'll make using photoshop that much easier.

Not too bad. Personally I don't like the font you used for my name. Not a big fan of the whole "freaky or kind of freaky letters".

And awhile back in a sig that dyne made, he had a pic of her lying down but that pic is kind of old so I'll look later on tonight and see if I can find another pic of her lying down

problem being, when i shrink her down to where you can see enough vertically, horrizontally she wont stretch the entire llength of the sig, or even close for that matter.

i need one where she's almost flat with her head lying down. either that or cut out more of her body, i have one where her legs are bent up. so you'd see her knee's part of her legs and her face.

just keep an eye out for a pic if you know what im talkin about.

Well, while i like the one you have now, because it moves and looks all spackly....the new one has Megaman and Zero.....and you gotta love Zero...considering the company basically dumped Megaman a while back, and stuck Zero in there, but still call the games "Megaman ______"

I say, make the background go all spackly with the Megaman/Zero hybryd one, and im in.

actually just make a thick border one color, then cut slots into it and shapes and stuff. then add another layer and kinda do the same thing witha diff color but less against the edge. then bevel em both.

its a bevel, i think i used the bevel boss from the eyecandy plugin, but should be just as easy to use the normal bevel. i just make it a very thin bevel.

you know what i'd do, i'd try to find a pic, say of the classic mario game, or just one with a lot of pipes, and have a kinda pipe them background, but fade it with the black so it doesnt stand out too much.

I have a new avatar to replace the Alyson Hannigan one that I have had almost since I came here...but Alyson will make a return later. But for now we can all look at Kate Beckinsale for a while.

I also made a new sig for myself, which I've been using for a while but just thought I'd mention. It features my two favorite Guilty Gear characters, and it also serves as an advertisement for the website I work at. I'm not very proud of the character cutouts, because I just wanted to get it finished, so they arent very clean cut outs. I'm going to have to go back and fix that later.

I do like the background though, it's very suave I think.

Also, I made this sig this morning for a guy at another forum, and I just wanted to show it off:

Keep in mind that the area where the Prince's swords is sticking up matches the background of the other forums, so it looks like they are protruding over the edge of the actual signiture, but because the forums are different colors it looks a little odd here on GT.

If you have the FusionX style selected, click Cash Out in upper right corner. Down at the bottom is where you can buy ribbons for various diseases. The donut is a gift thing that Neo gave Dyne (random)

I don't have one that I want made, but I was wondering what you thought about my recent sigs I made. Since your my number 1 critic here, I was interested in yoru opinions. The one with Axl Low was a combined use of filters (and somehow I got a really awesome fire effect), and the "Weapon V" one was my first ever sig that I used brush's in. Just ignore the text...I realize that the fonts I used are horrible, but I recently downloaded some more (including the official Wolverine font), so I'll be updating it pretty soon.

I was also wondering, do you ever use brush's in your backgrounds? If so, do you make your own or download them?

And here is another sig I made:
(It's designed for Gamespot, so the size restriction is wrong, and the background color isn't right either, so ignore that)

that last one is nice. Altho im wondering, Why use a color at all where the blue is on that? your using photoshop arent you? cut the color out, make it transparent and save as a gif. then it'll work on whatever color message board you put it on.

thats all brushes. i usually mix and match brushes from different things. many i've gotten from www.deviantart.com some i make myself. but since i dont know what im lookin for when i do it. downloading is usually easier, cuz i just throw stuff on untill it has a look to it. lol.

It's a very minimal difference that would only really matter if it was your profession or something. So minimal, that it's not really visible.

Yeah, I like the one without the full box better. What would it look like if you moved the picture of sonic to the left slightly, so that his arm came down and covered up the edge of the banner? That way sonic himself becomes the left hand border of the signiture.

thats what i had it do the first time. i didnt really like it as much. like this where you can see the edge behind him gives it more of the appearence he's walking into that box or infront of it. it didnt quite have that feel when you couldnt see where the box started.

you know what i'd try... a kinda transparent white text, with a bold, dark red outline.


and flair, somtimes is something simple as putting a line across it, or vertically, or something simple that just adds to it. i think it would be pretty cool to find some sort of picture drawn in graffiti, hehe. but i dunno. usually just takes playing around with untill something works.

The best possible color to use for the text would be green since red and green are complementary colors. There is a chance that you would get a 'Christmasy' look to it if you did that though. If it doesn't work, try using a lighter green or darker green. Or you can use the standard green and alter the shade of red.

My avatar is not me...and he really is a famous person. It's Albert Camus, the author of novels such as "The Plague" and "The Stranger". I have a very "strange" theme going on right now.

And the reason I made the grunge background was because I felt, and some of my designer friends felt, that it matched Stranger's character more.
