Well I tried to find a topic in which to allocate this thread, but there were none :(
Anyways, I was @ my friends house last night with a few mates and we were playing heaps of fighting games for the whole night (till the early morning).
We had a DC, PS2, GC, Xbox, Saturn and PSX.
So we started off with the Saturn. It was Kof96 time. Endless amounts of challenging went on here.
Then we wacked on the old classic Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. This in itself is such a good fighting game. One of my favourties from the SF series.
Some hadookens later, we moved to the next console in line........PSX.
Played KOF98 hardcore!
GC was up with SSB Melee. I kicked ass using DK and Link. This was so damn cool, we didn't know when to stop until my mates dad came around and said "are you still playing that game"?
After that, the Green Machine got its turn. Played DOA3 for a while which was pretty cool. Graphics are jaw dropping (especially compared to KOF). Got bored of it quickly coz the combos just seemed "illogical". So away with the Xbox.
Ps2 comes up. For this we played Street Fighter EX3, Tekken 4, VF4 and Capcom Vs SNK2. All around I kicked everyones ass at most of these games. Despite what the reviews said, we couldn't really get into VF4 as much as T4. But newayz.
Finally the DC had it's turn. Powerstone1 and 2, Marvel Vs Capcom 1&2, Guilty Gear X, and Soul Calibur. We had the most fun playing the DC. Powerstone/MVC2 being the favourites, but then we started with Soul Calibur. This was, is, and always will be one of my favourite fighting games. People who can't play it can still have fun. But if you know how to play it, boy it kix ass.
I usually use Xianghua (sp?), Maxi, Taki, Mitsurugi, Kilik and Ivy.
The point of this post? Just to commend Sega on such a great little system that should never be overlooked.
