Minnesota's Rosemount High had an awesome idea for a prank at this year's winter pep rally. Just awesome: blindfold all the sports captains and have them make out with people. And the "prank" part is that they're making out with their parents. Who aren't blindfolded.

I saw that earlier... I'm not sure what's the worst part of this

-Someone at the school actually pitching the idea
-Parents actually agreeing to this
-Or the extent some of the parents went to make it convincing!

Dear Freud....

Seriously, someone made a brilliant comment on Reddit. I'm too lazy to dig it up and give credit where credit is due. But here is the gist of it. The difference between a prank and harming someone.

Prank: buying fake weapons and scaring the shit out of someone

Harm: dropping someone off in the hood on the west side of Chicago

Prank: blindfolding students and making them THINK they kissed their parent

Harm: kissing their parent

This isn't even a prank. This is some torture porn, Saw shit. I mean obviously it isn't as bad, but it definitely isn't a prank. This is some goofy hazing and I'm waiting for a big news outlet to pick this story up. I feel like if you can suspend a kid indefinitely for bringing a squirt gun to school...the administrators can get in trouble for letting students make out with parents.

Is it actually illegal to make out with your parent if you both consent to it publicly?

This is some seriously fucked up shit, though.

It's one thing to come up with the idea of "I got it. We can blindfold some students and have them kiss their own parents, while totally fooling them about it!", and it's another thing for someone else to say "I love it!", but it's even worse for the parents to hear that idea and say "Yeah, alright. I'll definitely make out with my son/daughter. They're pretty cute."

Is.....is the prank that this isn't a real prank?

This is making me twitch rather uncomfortably.
