I was wondering how many folks took advantage of these two programs?
Essentially, giving back to gamers who purchase games and take surveys. For Xbox Live Rewards, you mostly get a % back on all purchases you make on XBL. Usually need to cross a certain threshold for it to be deposited into your account.. and on some rare occurrences MS has been known to make a blunder and deposit a lot of points.
Club Nintendo is essentially, a dual program. It allows you to register your games with Nintendo, but you also are awarded coins, which you can turn in for little knick knacks and the likes. And depending on how much coins you earn in a Nintendo year, you may qualify for a free prize. This year, it was a Super Mario pin set, the year before a Statue.
I just wanted to highlight both because I think its a step in the right direction, where you award gamers for buying your game new, but nothing is loss if you buy used from the experience.
