I just thought I'd share this software with everyone. I think it's been around for a little bit, and some of you may already know about it. For those who don't know about it, Synergy is software that allows you to share your mouse and keyboard with multiple computers. All you have to do is slide the mouse from screen to screen like you would if you had a dual monitor setup. But this allows you to keep a monitor with each computer. It's really neat and I use it a lot. I have an older desktop, but it has a really nice sound card to go with my speakers which gives me a computer to use for music. Then I can just use my laptop for almost everything else.

Flippin' sweet. Trying that when I get back to work.

Also, it works across all platforms.

So I got one guy on it here at work, and I think it will spread like wildfire. Excellent find -- thanks for the tip!

(Doesn't work for my setup, since we separate our internal and external networks and I got one on each. But I will eventually set up a Linux box for convenience at my desk, and will immediately get this running.)

That's awesome news. It's really great isn't it? But yes, the computers do need to be on the same network for it to work.
