According to GameInformer/JoyStiq seems like a remake of the original Halo will be MS' big holiday title. For the 10th anniversary of the series.

It is believed that the remake is under construction at Saber Interactive, most recently the team that worked on TimeShift. The remade installment of Microsoft's sci-fi shooter is expected to arrive on November 15, 2011 – ten years to the day of its original launch.

Sounds great. I'll definitely play a revamped Halo CE with multiplayer and updated graphics and achievements. :)

Nintendo, see that? Now you have to release a Metroid!!

Or will this be the first Halo ever that doesn't launch close to Metroid title?

Wasn't Metroid Prime released away from any Halo game?

Also I want to say Halo ODST launched away from a Metroid title.

Ah, you're right, they were more than a year apart.

But the rest was all within months of eachother I think. ODST launched right after Metroid Prime Trilogy (ok, just some port, but still).
