Yep, I just picked up an XBox and Halo earlier today. I've only played Halo for 30 minutes, but it's awesome so far. I still have to get used to the controls, but when I do, I'm gonna be kickin some alien ass.

Let me just say if you wanna really see the power of Xbox get DOA3 (warning , the game ain't that good compared to VF4/Tekken4/KOF).

The thing I dislike most about it, is the countering system. It's so easy to counter and it just seems a bit dodgy if you ask me.

Yeah, Halo is still the best Xbox game IMO. Just some advice, use the inverted controls rather then the normal controls. Normal is just too annoying. Dead or Alive 3 is an ok fighter, but gets boring fast. You should check out Jet Set Radio Future, World Series Baseball, and Moto GP now. :D

Oh, so you finally joined :D.

Well, try and enjoy as much of it as you can, just don't expect as much to get what you got from the PS2... Which I think you wont :p.

Well once Rare goes multi-platform I think XBox will have plenty of great games... :p

That was a joke, BTW, so don't flame me for spreading rumors again.

Stu, If you've only played Halo for 30 minutes, you haven't even gotten CLOSE to the fun parts yet. I hope you started out on Normal and not easy too. Normal is almost perfect in its difficulty. Its challenging without being frutrating or unfair.

I've gotten past a few levels in Halo, it's fricken awesome...I'm playing on Normal...

Also, World Series Baseball is a lot of fun. Pro difficulty is a challenge for me, which I like.

The main reason I picked up an XBox now was because I wanted to trade in a bunch of PS2 games, and I didn't know what to put the store credit towards, but I knew that I would be getting an Xbox by the end of the year anyways, and that it woulnd't drop in price again until then, so I picked it up. I'm really looking forward to XBox Live!.

sad thing is, you probably thought I was a PS2 fanboy when I always planned on eventually buying all 3 systems...

:fanboy:
But really, I planned on buying all three systems also. It now looks like I'll just stick with my Xbox and GameCube though, considering there are too many games I want for only two systems, and having three systems I would have no money left.
