Remember earlier reports that Nintendo had plans to release the 56K modem, but not the BBA until later (DC style)? Sega's plans to release package deals and no BBA in any was also a bad sign. Well things look good. PSO is reported to support both, Nintendo.com has them both listed with a fall release date, and although PSO was running on the 56K modem at E3, here's a pic showing GC hooked up via BBA.
Great news for me!

I can't wait for PSO now!! It's gonna cost me cause I'm buying a new GC to hook up in my basement just for PSO, cause I hated moving my DC since I played constantly. But damn, I can't wait! BBA for me!
Anyway, just thought I'd share

Since Gekko posted the pic, I meant as well point out some other stuff:
1)The screens are the new LCD moniotrs made by Nintendo themselves.
2)You will be able to connect 4 Cubes for portable playing
3)That's officially the 2nd GC game going online. Oddly enough, it's made by the same company and is in the same series. That is Phantasy Star Online Card Battle.
Ok that is all.

Now I can play for hours (and hours) without getting in trouble for running up the phone bill (like I did with the DC version)...
(I'm tempted to use the banana, but just can't)

now the only problem I have is getting a router and finding a way to get the ethernet cable(or whatever you call it) down to my basement where my gamecube is...
*smells wireless router*
*smells price*
*runs away*

That way my initial thought. Buy looking around, it looks like only a wireless router, you need the signal being sent from a PC card with an antenna.
What I want is a router that sends the signal wirelessly to a little reciever, and I plug that into my main router which goes out to the WAN.
And yes, PSO runs fine with 56K. It was demoed at E3 on 56K. You will experience lag on occasion, but it's the server being crowded, not your connection. Even Xbox players who think they'll never experience lag are dead wrong. When the server has tons of people during peak hours, it can't keep up with all the operations, and you lag. But so do broadband players, you won't lag any more than they do.
