We are nearing the end of 2010, which means its time for many sites to start putting in their bids for 2010's GoTY and all that fun jazz, I was just curious what games GT has completed this past year, doesn't necessarily have to be from this year though.

New Vegas. I think it's an absolutely fantastic game.

I'd also probably say Uncharted 2 based on merit - but I haven't even played it yet to be honest. I keep meaning to head down and pick it up.

Think Red Dead was this year. That was an amazing game.

Red Dead. Shorter than I wanted it to be, but I heard the multiplayer was phenomenal (though I didnt try out that aspect of it) which makes up for the single player.

All around though, best story, best gameplay, and best overall execution of the games I've played this year.

Strange to hear a complaint for Red Dead being too short. Game took me like 4 months to beat.

I haven't played much this year. I got The Witcher on PC a few weeks ago and have been digging that big time. I'll probably play WoW Cataclysm.

I recall Mass Effect 2 being one of the more memorable experiences this year. Final Fantasy XIII came out too, and in retrospect it was pretty damn disappointing.

Gonna do a month by month break down on the year over at the site just to remind people of major games that they may have forgotten.

Had to finish it as fast as I could on account of borrowing from a friend, so plowed through it in about 3-4 days.

Question to those [I don't know who] have played it - but I haven't played Uncharted 2, and was considering picking it up. Is it worth it? I really liked Uncharted - and I haven't heard anything bad about 2, but I just thought I'd ask.

Uncharted 2 is one of my favorite games this generation, and probably the 2nd best game I played last year.

Awesome campaign, love the character of Drake, like the first one, I think the last minute twist to mix up enemies kind of sucks, and the final boss is just a chore, but as a whole awesome experience.

And to top it off, is one of my favorite online games.

Is the online good enough to make me want to keep the game?

Because lately what I do is buy a game, beat it - and if I don't see myself playing it again, I'll quickly go and trade it in for another game before the value decreases too much. And I don't see there being a high return value of Uncharted 2.

I guess its personal expectations, to me the multiplayer is awesome, because there aren't really any other games like it.

I mean the shooting is a lot more forgiving than most FPS, and it has a vertical element with the jumping/ledge climbing and stuff, but your miles may vary.

~Edit~

Also for those who care or want to, set up a phone line for the podcast for people to call in and leave their game of the year picks and the sort, and gonna put it on the show
