The local multiplayer thread got me thinking...

Does anyone know of a RPG for the Wii or 360 that supports offline co-op? Not really looking for an FPS, something more traditional like PSO or the Gauntlet games.

Hm Monster Hunter 3 only has arena battles that are offline coop. I don't really know about others.

I assume the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games fill that Gauntlet esque role.

Then there are some games on the Virtual console. I think Tales may support multiple people.. but yeah offline co-op is a rarity

What was that decent Capcom game called again? Spybots I think. It should have coop.

Deathspank or its sequel. I enjoyed the first one a lot with my girlfriend.

Those are definitely fun local multiplayer games.
A few people I know got sick of them really easily, and personally I don't know how. I really enjoy the arcade-style that those games have.

I could actually understand especially if not comic book fans, the game could lose its appeal pretty quickly.

You don't really do much different from beginning to end. You can spam the same type of attacks and beat the game no problem, but I still love em.

Really nice game. But you won't finish it unless you take it seriously. That game is NES era type of difficulty right there. I remember trying one part for around 20 times to finally finish it. But I was playing it solo. Maybe it's easier with two players.

Well you can actually pull off some prett sick combos in it. Spiderman could anyway.
