Well, I don't know where else to put these thread sine there is no general gaming forum and it belongs in none of the game console threads, but here are some videogame statistics.

-When it comes to how long gamers have been gaming, the vast majority (44%) have only been playing games for up to 5 years, while the next largest slice of the pie (26%) have been playing for 6 to 10 years.
-60% of gamers say they’ll be playing as much or more than they do now in 10 years.
-The most popular reason for gaming is because “it’s fun.” The least popular reason? “I do the same thing in real life.” Sure thing, Captain Hilarity.
-In households with console systems, an average of two people would say that they play on a regular basis.
-Males play consoles more frequently than females, who make up only 28% of the most frequent players.
-45% of the most frequent console gamers are under 18. 36% are between 18 and 35, and 19% are older than 36.
-While kids seem to dominate the actual playing arena, 86% of people buying console games are over 18.
-62.3% of all video and computer games released in 2001 were rated “E” for Everyone.
-Nintendo’s best selling game for 2001 was Pokemon Crystal for the GBC. It was the third best selling game across all platforms (including PCs).
