View Full Version : Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock
I'm wondering if anyone is getting this one. Since I haven't played anything since GH3 I'm thinking of getting this one. Something that helps is that the previous versions of the game are very cheap at GS. Going from $8 to $26. So I'm getting the previous games as well. I'm buying it with the band and for the PS3 since my Wii guitar got rusty where you connect it with the Wii remote and I'm thinking of adding some achievements to my ps3 account.
I have to ask again if anyone's getting this, we're close to the release date. I am also buying the previous games as they're cheap. I got Guitar Hero 3 for $7.99 and the rest are just slightly higher. So... is there anyone here I can play this with on-line?

The reviews don't look too good. I will say I thought 5/Band Hero was good and a nice change to the career system. I'm probably going to skip this one, and keep an eye out for 5 dirt cheap.
Ok. I'm reading the review right now. As for the game... I'm having a hard time getting used to the wireless guitar lag and the TV's lag. I don't know if the tv actually has lag or not (it's very new and 240hz) so I'm clueless. But it's the same deal I had to face when I went from the PS2's wired guitar (which had perfect precision IMO) to the Wii's guitar which ahd a slight lag. I got over it in one day and was playing the songs well. But it was frustrating and now it's the same thing with the PS3 version of the game. That's my gripe. I haven't seen anything bad with the song difficulties so far.

You should be able to calibrate the guitar.
I did calibrate it. Now it's fine. The problem is I have to calibrate each game independently because each has it's different lags. GH3 lags more in the audio dept, while Metallica lags more in the video dept and I forgot what was the problem with GH: WOR but even the values were considerably different. I've been playing GH: 3 more because I'm more familiar with it and I want to get everything for it. XD Then WOR.
PS: That God of War song breaks the ass kicking meter.
