DSi XL

Does anyone have one of these? I'm thinking about upgrading, just curious if anyone uses one, and what you think about it.

What version of the DS do you currently have?

I mean if you have a DSi not worth it, and honestly, since Nintendo is set to reveal details on the 3DS launch in a week and a half, I would wait until then to see if it makes it State side this year

I currently just have a DS lite. I'm looking to get either a DSi or a DSi XL...I'm probably going to go for the former though.

I can't imagine the 3DS coming out this year...I mean it's intended to be an entirely new platform, right? Or is it just supposed to be an upgraded DS?

If it's an entirely new platform it seems like they would let DSi/DSi XL's carry them through this holiday season, then start selling 3DS's next year.

The main reason I'm wanting a DSi right now is because gamestop is offering $60 for trading in a DS lite (offer ends this Saturday), and the price just dropped $20 on DSi's.

So I could get a DSi for $90, but only before this Saturday.

I'm just worried about missing this deal for a system that may not even end up being good. It's backwards compatible with the DS, but who knows what that will look like on the higher resolution 3D screens.

The 3DS is an entirely new system but assume like most handhelds is BC.

If you want the deal go for it, I like my DSi though I hardly use the camera nor DSiWare store, it does have some decent content.

I got a DSL after the DSi came out. Sounds all interesting, but I decided to skip (half) a generation.

I think I'm going to go for it. If the 3DS does come out relatively soon, I think I'll wait until next holiday season or a price drop to get one. It will be really nice having the larger DSi screen to play Dragon Quest and Pokemon Black/White on.

I played Golden Sun on an XL at PAX - it was fantastic. Worth the money I'd think. I'd consider upgrading too but most of the games I'm playing right now are on PSP.

I think I'm going to go for just the regular DSi, the screen is still substantially bigger than the lite (about half an inch), but slightly cheaper and easier to carry around.

The battery life is pitiful on the DSi compared to the XL. I say upgrade.
