This is crazy, he's obviously the best player in history, and his numbers back him up, but he's still the best player in the league. He has three assists and a goal in tonight's game and it's not over yet. He's now sixth in all-time point getters, tieing and going ahead of Tony Esposito, and then getting two more points after that in tonight's game. He has three-four point games in the last four games, he's making Aleksy Morozov look like Jaromir Jagr, and he's leading the team to a fourth straight win, one of them over the hot Flyers.
Anyone who still thinks the Pens have no chance at the play-offs or even the Cup is only kidding themselves. Without Lemieux, Pens wouldn't make the play-offs, no doubt about it. But Lemieux makes all the difference, and with him the Pens are a threat.
And I remember people laughing at the idea of Mario winning the Art Ross after missing so many games... I bet you ten bucks Iginla is hearing foot-steps.
