Of, thank god. Good news to any of you who plan to upgrade this fall, like me, to the new Direct X 9 cards. In an interview with MacGamer, nVidia just shot down the expected $399 price:
Can you tell us anything about the GeForce 5?
Fall of this year with pricing consistent with the $249-299 scheme. No technical details as of yet.
This card, and ATI's R300 (I believe) are supposed to be twice as powerful as the GeForce 4 Ti 4600. They will also be release alongside Direct X 9.0.
Only $300 to upgrade, sweetness! I already saved $100 by choosing the GF4 Ti 4400, over the 4600. Just $200 more.
