Nintendo is set to take the stage tomorrow at e3 2010.
In there line-up, we are expecting to hear about a new Zelda and the reveal of a new handheld in the 3DS. There is expected to be some Metroid and probably mention of Sin and Punishment. We'll see if they are dedicated to 3rd parties if they showcase... like any game...
With that said,

I remembered I already have an appointment that ends around 16:45. Press conf starts at 18:00 for me. I need 1h30 to travel home... which mean I'll probably be half an hour late. =/
Fortunately, I'll probably just miss all the boring stuff.

I will say i wasn't too excited about a new Retro Donkey Kong.... but I forgot how fun Donkey Kong Country was. I'm looking forward to DKC Returns for sure.

I just started watching when they introduced the new Kirby a few minutes ago. The new Kirby looks fun, too, but probably too simplistic for me.

Been a hell of a conference for my old platform loving arse.
New Kirby, the artstyle is AMAZING.
New Donkey Kong Country, looks fantastic.
Epic Mickey looks cool, but the action stages look like the real stars.
Zelda: Skyward Sword has a more adult toon-shaded look going for it, but the controls have a long way to go.
We saw Goldeneye already.
Metroid looks good, but we knew that.
Mario is doing the whole sports comp thing. :(

3DS being introduced and explained now by Iwata. Has some slider on the 3D screen to control how 3D the screen is, from "very" 3D to just 2D.
They showed Zelda already???

Ended with a couple hundred beautiful women with 3DSes strapped to them for people in the theater to try. Also had some Wii booths with the new Zelda for people to play there. Damn, like the MS conference, wish I was there!

FYI, they're having some post-conference stuff on e3.nintendo.com. Miyamoto and Iwata and another head guy are talking about the new Zelda now and the decisions they made with the controls.

Most visually stunning game I've ever laid eyes on. :)
Controlled by a group of evil Tikis, the animals in Donkey Kong Island have raided Donkey Kong's Banana Hoard and stolen his stash of bananas - and he understandably wants them back. Retro Studios brings Donkey Kong™ back in a new side-scrolling adventure with familiar characters and new levels that reignite the passion players had for the Super NES™ original.
Features:
* Retro Studios faithfully restores everything that made the original series great, from barrel cannons to mine carts, and then builds on those elements with stunning graphics and new layers of depth to the world and game play. The game offers the traditional side-scrolling experience everyone loved, but with levels created in fully rendered 3-D environments.
* Diddy Kong™ joins the quest. With his trusty backpack, he can produce a jet pack or Peanut Pop Guns to give Donkey Kong more abilities.
* For the first time ever, the franchise features the ability for two people to play together at the same time (additional accessories required and are sold separately) - one as Donkey Kong, one as Diddy Kong. Players can navigate the levels separately or as one unit. Diddy Kong can ride on Donkey Kong's back and hop off whenever he pleases, allowing novice players to ride on Donkey Kong's back through more challenging areas of the game.
*Hidden items, puzzle pieces and other surprises are found all through the jungle. Spell out K-O-N-G by the end of each level to earn an extra bonus.
* Motion controls give players a real feeling of control. Players move Donkey Kong using the Control Stick on the Nunchuk™ controller and can shake the Wii Remote™ controller to make Donkey Kong slap the ground.
* Vibrant colors, beautiful graphics and fun characters draw players in. Even people who have never played a Donkey Kong game before can pick up a controller and start collecting loads of bananas.
* Every level offers new fun and new challenges. Sometimes Donkey Kong is running through the jungle, sometimes his action takes place on a tropical beach and other times he must become a master of timing as he jumps chasms in a mine cart.
Donkey Kong Country Returns facts
Best conference ever. It's like they showed me all my favourite games wrapped into one.
A little disappointed at the Yarn Kirby, but I'll probably still enjoy it. What I would want is a full-3D Kirby Super Star.

I think because the tech/method they use is probably better suited for something like a handheld where you have to stare at it anyhow. If I'm not mistaken (and trust me I could be), it basically overalls the same image and tricks the eye into thinking one is above the other or something.
Features:
Metroid: Other M takes the best elements of first-person and third-person gaming to create a seamless blend between game play, storytelling and dynamic cinematography. It feels like a movie the player can control. Players hold the Wii Remote™ controller sideways while navigating and battling in third-person. However, at any moment, players can switch immediately to Wii Remote pointer controls to examine and explore the environments in first-person perspective.
Metroid fans know more about Samus' suits and weapons than they do about what drives her. That's about to change. The story begins following the events of Super Metroid™, when a baby Metroid gave its life to protect Samus. With voice acting and a rich story, players learn more about Samus' past as she weaves through an action-packed adventure aboard the Bottle Ship, a decommissioned space facility. As she hurtles into this new adventure, Samus will encounter her first mentor and Commanding Officer of the Galactic Federation, Adam Malkovich.
The development of Metroid: Other M is an exciting collaboration between Nintendo's Yoshio Sakamoto and Team Ninja. Sakamoto was the director of Super Metroid in 1994. Team Ninja is the renowned action developer of Ninja Gaiden. Metroid: Other M pairs Sakamoto's expert design and exploratory focus of the classic Metroid series with Team Ninja's signature stylish, no-holds-barred action.
Nice all-gameplay trailer. No emotional cg cutscenes this time ;-). Seems like a lot more Prime elements are in the game than anticipated: scanning, first person view and the visuals looking a lot like Retro's games.
I'm actually pleased about the graphics looks much nicer compared to previous trailers.

Kirby looks awesome, but does he still inhale and eat enemies and steal their powers? I didn't see any of that in the video, though I haven't played a new Kirby game in a long time so I may be out of the loop.
Are there any easily accessible DK trailers out there?

From what I've read (less than 10 seconds), it sounds like they are using a LCD screen which displays a different image depending on the viewing angle. If that's the case, it really isn't new technology, but it has tons of problems.
For one, where is the head located relative to the screen? How far are they sitting away from the TV? How do you support multiple people viewing? Pretty much all this stuff can be "assumed" when it's a handheld.
There was a good presentation by Sony at GDC 2010 if you're interested in it.

Also there's already a TV out that is a 3D tv that doesn't use the glasses.

And with plenty more colors to use.
I'm hoping the Nintendo 3DS will be good. I was impressed by what I saw of it.
