So I've got a few weeks of downtime and I'm back in the gaming mood. Have a nice tv and a ps3, so what game(s) do you guys suggest I pick up to take care of this video juego monkey thats clawing at my back?

I like RPGs, Sports, and Shooters for the most part. Red Dead Redemption?

Uncharted and especially Uncharted 2. And I have heard Red Dead Redemption is amazing, although I have yet to get my hands on it.

Oh also, Metal Gear Solid 4 is hands down the best game on the system, IMO.

Agreed... well it's the best I've played at least.

Aaand Acebot, judging from your Kobe avatar... I'd say NBA 2k10 might be good for you. It has a mode called "My player" that I've clocked a good 100+ hours in lol

I haven't played a sports game that much since I was in HS. As long as you have the internet so you can get the patches it's worth it. And it's only $19.99 now I think

You are DAMN right. NBA 2k10 is actually the ONLY game I've purchased for the PS3 and I'm working on my 4th My Player right now...each one kind of loses his appeal after the first season for some reason. Have you ever developed a post player? I can't imagine that being too fun with the lack of ball handling responsibility.

Guys, I think i'm gonna pick up Red Dead after I play a friends copy of Bioshock. Everyone else seems to have traded in their older games :-(

Yeah, though basketball can only get so old. lol

And yeah my current player is a center actually. I made him only 7 foot (athletic) though, so he can get more points... and I find it to be fun actually.

The fun part about a big man is you can be a "realistic" big man and be extremely efficient. My SG was unrealistic, coming off the bench playing 40 mins a game averaging 35PPG 8 rebounds, 8 assists... I mean it was a cool player, but it got old running in for layups, putting King James and Kobe to shame with the 55 overall rating fundamentals :P

Plus I find when I'm a SG or SF I ruin the careers of whoever I play with. On my first SF (the only one I completed 2 seasons with) his first season he played with kevin durant cause they pulled him out of d league... Durant went from averaging 32PPG and leading the league in the first 15-20ish games of the season, down to barely avraging 20 by the season's end. When he joined the celtics the next season he was the only one over 15PPG lol

My Center is on the spurs, and everyone on the team's stats are up from the last season except the Foward who got traded there. I can grab my 18 RPG and get my 25PPG in peace... But maybe since I am just beefing his defense, rebounding, and dunking stats.
