Sweet Tea

Any of our southern members fans of the goodness of sweet tea?

I remember getting it quite frequently when I lived in West Virginia... it somehow migrated to Wisconsin via McDonald's. I am quite the happy camper.

Sweet Tea is way too sweet for me. I prefer sun tea, with a little sugar, lemon and a sprig of mint.

I'm much more into unsweetened or very lightly sweetened iced tea from a company like Honest Tea, Inko's, or Sweet Leaf (although they make sweet tea as well obviously.)

Sweet tea is a bit intense though I can see how it's good on occasion.

I much prefer unsweetened iced tea, but I do occasionally enjoy an Arizona Iced Tea which is amazing good if I am in the mood.

I'm pretty sure it's either like Iced Tea, or nothing like Iced Tea.

I ran into some guy from South Carolina once, and for some reason that's what we talked about.

I just can't remember.


I know Sweet Tea is loaded with Sugar, and so is Iced Tea.
I can't remember what his complaint with Canadian bottled Iced Tea was. Maybe the lemon flavour.

When you get real freshly brewed iced tea and sweet iced tea, it's much different than any of the bottled stuff (though I feel like that Sweet Leaf style Germy mentioned is pretty close). Yeah, I'd call it better, mainly because it's fresh. But I think all the bottled teas and McDonald's and Subway style iced teas and sweet iced teas are delicious, too. There is a slight difference that I think you'd have to taste to understand (it's like tea you brew yourself, it's usually much lighter than the stuff you buy in bottles etc.), but they're both good depending on what your taste buds are craving.

Do you have Lipton Ice Tea there?
I've compared the amount of kJs of ice tea with cola. Ice tea has much more, even the light one.
