I saw this on Digg, and thought of most of the people in my life:

I was wondering if it is true.
Me? I love my coffee black. Occasionally I put cream in it: not milk, but thick, thick cream. And by occasionally, I mean once in a blue moon. Given that I drink 5+ cups a day, daily, 7 days a week...
That's about 150 cups a month.
And 1800 a year. So maybe 10 of those get creamed.
And I NEVER put sugar in my coffee.
I think it is okay to put a little sugar or cream in your coffee, but I know people who dump like packets of sugar and half a cup of milk in their coffee. At that point it is no longer coffee. Same goes for all those crappacino drinks they make at Starbucks. That shit is not coffee anymore.
Anyway...discuss. :D

I don't drink coffee, never have.
So gonna go with disliking it.

Yeah, I love the aroma, but don't like the taste unless it has mounds of sugar and cream, like those crappacinos. And as such, I hardly drink coffee, with or without sugar/cream. However, I would probably get accustomed to the taste if it didn't destroy my stomach with horrible heartburn.
However, I LOVE a cappuccino or espresso or just plain ol' single cup of coffee at the end of a BIG meal, like when eating at a steak house. It's a good digestif for me. Funny how it's the opposite from when I haven't eaten a big meal.

Drink it to keep my bowels regular :) and for the caffeine.
Tastes nasty to me if there's anything in it.
Strong black room temperature coffee is where it's at.
I'm in the 95%. I think I've tried coffee black a few times. I absolutely hated it.

I like black coffee. Always black. No sugar, no milk, no cream. Just the coffee.
The same way I like my Whiskey by itself. I like the flavour of the coffee on it's own.
Occasionally on a hot day I'll brew some coffee, and either:
-Stick it straight in the fridge to have later, colder
-Put milk and sugar with it, and then put it in the fridge to have it later, colder

I love coffee with just a tad of 1/2 + 1/2 in it. I think it's almost psychological because I love seeing it change colors. Also, 1/2 + 1/2 is tasty, so there's that too. I never put sugar in anymore and I don't miss it all. I also sweeten with almond or soy milk if it's available for less calories.
I'd say I also generally prefer iced coffee even if it's a cold day. It's easier to drink. I'm usually too lazy to make it for myself though.

I proudly admit to drinking nothing but white chocolate mochas from Starbucks.

I like coffee and tea (I have a pitcher of hibiscus tea in the fridge right now). I have to say I do like coffee, but I don't like it black in most cases unless its a really high quality varietal.
I mean, would we love beef as much without salt and pepper? That's what cream and splenda is for me with coffee; its a seasoning.
I take 6-8 ounces of generic coffee with 2 creamers and 1 splenda packet, and I enjoy flavored coffee from time to time, but not as an everyday beverage.

I finally stopped working at Starbucks this week so I don't have to put up with anyone's coffee bullshit anymore.
But yes, I like coffee. With or without cream/sugar.

I learned to drink it 5 years ago. I turned out to be a social drinker. I never make coffee for myself, but I'll drink it when I visit people (or when I'm at work... work is baaad for me).
So when I drink it, I drink it with milk and sugar. Sometimes I (have to) try without them... I'd rather have (herbal) tea.
I love coffee. Sugar ruins it. I like it muddy - with the tiniest hint of milk or cream.
I used to get Timmy's a ton, but I've gotten a couple cases of hives after drinking it. I'm cutting it off until I can figure out my allergy. Starbucks is still great, though. Quad long-shot decaf americanoes for the win.
Timmy Ho's puts amphetamines in theirs I say. !
I have coffee probably once a month now.
I prefer black or with a shot of almond/brazilnut/walnut milk. My first choice at a shop though is always a double longshot espresso that i sprinkle with cinnamon and half a pack of raw cane sugar.
I switched to 2-4 cups of green tea a day. Been doing me fine, being able to fall asleep before mindnight.

I enjoy the taste of coffee. I drink it black. With sugar, it tastes nasty. These hot summer days call for iced coffee (which I used to dislike, but I've grown quite partial to it)!
Every now and then, my family will make Cuban coffee.. which I consider dessert because it's really sweet.

I'm hardly ever seen without some sort of warm beverage in a mug. It can be coffee or tea, never creamed, occasionally a tad of sugar if my stomach is bother me. I occasionally roast, and always grind my own beans.

Comparing coffee with cream and sugar to steak doesn't make it any more manly. :lolz:
And yes, I do love coffee, black. I think it tastes amazing, and the fact that it has almost zero caloric value is a big plus. My favorite types are the Starbucks Komodo Dragon blend and Eight O'Clock coffee brand.
I do enjoy lattes and mochas, though. To me they are a totally different kind of drink. My favorite is an iced no-whip mocha from Starbucks.
I used to pretty much drink coffee non-stop all day long, but in the past couple of weeks I've started cutting back to a cup or two a day. Since I've started working out I've noticed that exorbitant amounts of coffee dehydrate me and give you a really sick feeling in your mouth once you're exerting yourself.

Green tea is amazing...hot or iced.
Does anyone have any advice on making iced coffee? I've tried before, and it never turns out well. I suspect I'm making my coffee too strong or using too dark a blend. Do I need a lighter roast? Any roast recommendations?
I've thought about roasting my own beans, but apparently the smell is horrendous with the home-brew methods (which usually involve a popcorn maker). I figure I need to keep my priorities straight anyway and make my own beer first. Someday....
