To clarify:

Over = the band is overrated by today's standards, for whatever reason you want to argue/defend.

Under = the band is underrated by today's standard, for whatever reason you want to argue/defend.

Today I bring everyone a very very special over/under: PHISH.

Phish is the jam band in the post-Grateful Dead music scene. At least you would think so looking at their huge cult following. The band was on hiatus, but last I heard they are back together and touring again. Phish is known for their live performance, their epic jams, their covers, and their improvisation. They also have some studio albums, the best of which is probably Rift or maybe A Picture of Nectar.

Phish, for all their stoner frat boy stereotypes, have been painted as this "smart man's jam band." They also are highly appraised, at least by their cult fanbase. So, yeah, thoughts?

Over?

Under?

Hugely talented?

Highly overrated?

They're talented but totally not my thing. Not sure how to cover that.

I guess you could call that overrated...or you could if you were bombarded by people telling you how awesome they are. :p
