nintendo has the biggest line up by far, mario zelda metroid and on and on...

the sony rep came in today to circuit city... i asked her what sony's 3-4 q lineup was, she had nothing.. just mentioning online capabilities. either nintendo is going to kill sony this year, or you guys can tell me what some good games will be.

Did you just come back Crash? I haven't seen you post in awhile(unless it's just me) But I think they have some Online games coming out(Socom I believe)but maybe the woman was retarted that day *getting urge to start saying mean things:D *. But Nintendo will kill!

PS2 has games coming out... I think Onimusha comes out in August... Devil May Cry 2 is scheduled for a winter 2002 release, unless they delayed it during E3 and I didn't hear about it...

Socom, like jonbo mentioned, I think...

I dunno what else, but they have stuff...

The thing about comparing other system's lineups to a year when mario, etc come out is that those games, by name alone, look like a killer lineup that nothing else can compare to (doesn't mean that they WILL be good, but everyone has almost no doubt in their mind that they will)... whereas PS2's major games usually don't look too major... sure you get yer MGS2 and such that everyone's like WOAH THAT'S AWESOME! About, but most great PS2 games are like... buried by the hype of those other games... kinda

Even though a majority of the games still suck :D

BTW, you mentioned zelda, but didn't that get delayed until like February? Or is that still considered q4? I dunno how those things work exactly

Umm... *ahem*... uh yes... yes what Joeiss said...

*wonders why he couldn't think of all those*

But yeah... this just kinda proves my point though... So many of the Nintendo fan peoples pay so much attention to the fact that zelda and mario and such are coming out that they don't look very deep at PS2's lineup, so they think that there are like no good games coming out for it when really there are and they just don't know where to look...

:sneaky:

Actually, the Xbox and PS2 will have many more games available at the end of this year then the GameCube.

Fact is mario zelda, star fox, and metroid will sell more combined (heck, maybe just mario and zelda) then all of those combined. Hence why its considered the greatest line up for nintendo in its history of games.

That's not a fact, it can't be proven... yet.

And it may have some great games, but it does not have the 'biggest' lineup. That's a fact.

It may or may not be true, but ofcourse the GCN will not survive on 4 titles alone. Heck, I don't think any console would be able to survive on that.

Nintendo has several other game lined up for these year, and I think they announced something like a 100 games to be released by the end of the year( starting from Jan ofcourse).

They have um let's see:

Resident Evil Zero (You may also count 2 and 3)
WWE WrestleMania X8
Vexx
Turok
Die Hard
Phantasy Star Online
Lost Kingdoms
BomberMan Generations
Eternal Darkness
Smuggler Run 2
Animal Crossing
Doshin the Giant

And well some others I suppose.

I didn't include stuff like Wario World, Mario Party 4, Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, Mario Kart (Damn lots of Mario games), 1080, Skies of Arcadia, Phantasy Star Online Card and some others because I really don't have a date for them.

How come no one mentioned starfox adventures? That comes out this year doesnt it... or have i been living under a rock. To me the nintendo line up looks big and well theres sappose to be a surprise in mario kart. I read that somewhere i think they didnt want to show it at e3 so they dont reveal any secrets about the game. I think they changed it. When does donkey kong racing come out?

I would probably like the PS2 line up a lot more but i havent seen any of those games in action so i dunno.

I highly doubt that. Well, unless we are talking about for the rest of the earth's existance... because that would be damn hard to tally.

Right, now i'm just going to type up every freaking game coming out for gamecube... hmm... good one stu.

Nintendo truly kicked ass this E3, easily the best out of the 3.

I don't think Nintendo was EASILY the best out of the 3... I think gamecube was the best, but not by much... not as much as I expected... but that was when I was expecting maybe some RE4 details/screens, maybe a peek at PD0... and some other stuff... along with NOT expecting to see Silent Hill 3 for PS2...

And when I checked the gamefaqs poll about who had the best showing, I think PS2 was in the lead with 8000 something, closely followed by NGC with about 7000-7500 something... but that's just one poll on one site and it doesn't represent a very big portion of the gaming population yada yada yada blah de diggly doo... But I dunno... I wasn't even paying much attention to PS2 stuff, and I think it was close to Nintendo's showing... :p

But meh... *shrugs*

Trust me, Nintendo was not easily the best at E3.

I've watched basically everything I could get my hands on for both the Xbox and the GameCube, both their press conferences, all of their press releases, most of their videos. And from what I've seen, it's an opinion on who won.

Both companys offered so diverse games it's hard to say. I mean this is going to be a great year for Nintendo with all of their key franchises coming out, minus Zelda. But look at Microsoft, they are building some great 3rd party support. I mean there is Project Ego, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, a new Halo, Unreal Championship, Brute Force, Crazy Taxi 3, all coming to the Xbox. Now that is a great head-to-head lineup vs. the GC's lineup.

What it really comes down to is personal preferenece I believe in picking this year's E3 'winner.' I mean if you love all of your Nintendo franchises, hell your going to pick GameCube. And if your looking for that reliable, sometimes slow stream of good games, your going to pick Nintendo. But if you are looking for your console going online coming up very soon, great games from 3rd parties such as Sega, and exclusive titles from Microsoft, and war videogames, your going to pick the Xbox.

But lets not forget Sony's showing, it was fair. But I really do think the main battle for this E3 is GameCube vs. Xbox.

Well.... I personally think that Sony had the best show. Why? Because I already own the system, and I am looking forward to a bunch of games. Right now, I know for sure that I will be getting :

Stuntman
SOCOM: US Navy Seals
Madden NFL 2003
Red Faction 2
Timesplitters 2
Ratchet and Clank
GTA: Vice City
The Getaway
Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4
Medal of Honor: Frontline

But.... On the other hand. Xbox had a great showing as well. There online stuff looks impressive... But... Only a few games really appeal to me. I dont know why. I mean, a lot of games look impressive... But I like my PS2. :p

Now... For GCN. This was a great showing. And with GCN's price drop, they are sure to sell like hot cakes once all of their hit games come out. I am waiting for another price drop... and when that comes, I will no doubt be buying :

Mario
SFA
ED
RE1
THPS4

There are probably some more... But I just can't think of any.

So, in my opinion.... Sony has the best quarter 3 and 4 line up. Who won E3? Well... I don't seem to recall that being the question that Crash asked...

i went into e3 (not physically) without any expectations at all, and Nintendo just blew me away more than any of the 3. Though the project ego (fable) info was awesome! Silent Hill 3 is cool, but it looks exactly the same as silent hill 2. Devil May Cry 2 was pretty cool too, as were a couple of ps2 games, but all the cool games were sequels (direct sequels).

Graphic wise, i have to say Metroid and Starfox Adventures were 2 of the best looking games that were playable. Zelda in motion was just awesome, and Mario in motion was far better than it was before and it just looked like soo much fun. The last game like Mario Sunshine was Mario 64, and that is sooo damn old. Unlike games for ps2 which get sequels every year.

That's why i thought Nintendo ruled, but yeah it was an opinion thing cause it depends on which games you like the most.

And we all know why that is, could it be the fact only one of those games will come out and it will sale really well then Nintendo will do what it always does a put back the other games to sale more of the first one total pissing off all its fans yet again! (Not that Nintendo would ever do that )
